Job description

# **Who we are** ⬇️ Thinkific (TSX:THNC) is an award-winning learning commerce platform built for scale. By bringing together community, courses, and content with commerce, we power transformative learning experiences and give businesses everything they need to grow their revenue — all from one AI-powered platform. So far, our customers have generated over $3.7 billion in revenue and reached more than 200 million learners worldwide. **The culture we're building ⭐**We've been intentional about the culture we're building and are proud to be recognized as an award-winning culture—we’re a [Certified Great Place to Work](https://www.greatplacetowork.ca/en/certified-company/z4870188000001308732), one of [Canada's Best Diversity Employers](https://reviews.canadastop100.com/top-employer-thinkific-labs?_gl=1*12huclg*_ga*MTUyMzgxNzY4NS4xNzU4ODE3MDc1*_ga_H481FDLVWD*czE3ODQ1NzM1NDQkbzQwJGcxJHQxNzg0NTczOTk4JGoxOCRsMCRoMA..#diversity), [BC Top Employers](https://reviews.canadastop100.com/top-employer-thinkific-labs?_gl=1*a0fi0m*_ga*MTUyMzgxNzY4NS4xNzU4ODE3MDc1*_ga_H481FDLVWD*czE3ODQ1NzM1NDQkbzQwJGcxJHQxNzg0NTczOTA0JGo0NCRsMCRoMA..#bc), and [Canada's Top Small & Medium Employers](https://reviews.canadastop100.com/top-employer-thinkific-labs?_gl=1*nknbrn*_ga*MTUyMzgxNzY4NS4xNzU4ODE3MDc1*_ga_H481FDLVWD*czE3ODQ1NzM1NDQkbzQwJGcxJHQxNzg0NTc0MDc0JGoxMyRsMCRoMA..#sme) for 2026 by Canada's Top 100! **Here’s what it means to work at Thinkific:** We're a high-performing team on a meaningful mission, and the way we work reflects that. Thinkers are customer-obsessed and ownership-driven — we talk to customers constantly, take full accountability for outcomes, and operate with a high degree of autonomy and trust. We care deeply for each other and believe the best ideas come from honest debate, real feedback, and diverse perspectives. It's a culture built on trust, exceptional work, and genuine respect for the people around us. **Who thrives here:** Thinkific may be the right place if you're energized by a fast-paced environment, enjoy high autonomy, and work well with ambiguity and change. You thrive in highly collaborative teams and make the people around you better. You're results-driven, take ownership without being asked, have hard conversations even when it's uncomfortable, and celebrate diverse perspectives. AI is a tool you embrace to move faster and think bigger. **Who doesn't thrive here:** If you prefer highly structured environments, need to wait for clear direction to move, dislike ambiguity and change, or find direct feedback uncomfortable, Thinkific may not be the right fit. # **About the Role** 🚀 **What makes customers choose a platform and stay for it?** For many Thinkific Plus customers, the answer is Commerce, and we're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own it. On the Acquire and Monetize team, you'll own multiple product lines focused on enabling our customers to sell, earn and scale their businesses. The primary offering is our [Thinkific Commerce](https://www.thinkific.com/features/thinkific-payments/) product, our built-in payments offering with seamless payment processing, advanced sales tools and effortless tax management. Commerce is a key reason we win Plus customers and a significant source of revenue, so it needs to be highly competitive. You'll shape the strategic vision for Commerce, and decide how we match the market where we need to and where we build Thinkific Commerce to be more differentiated. You'll be as strong at execution as you are at strategy. We expect Commerce to be built with the quality and depth to fully solve our customers' problems, and to be rolled out in a way that customers feel as a seamless upgrade. On top of Commerce, you’ll also own our customer onboarding, website building features and lastly the execution of pricing and packaging changes strategically led by our VP, Growth. Reporting to the Director, Product, you'll collaborate across Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success and Sales to deliver best-in-class monetization and buyer experiences that help our customers grow their revenue. **Your goal will be to drive Thinkific's commerce product strategy and execution, ensuring our solutions deliver substantial value to customers and align with our business objectives. Here's how you'll accomplish this:** - **Define the strategic vision** for our Commerce product, integrating market insights, customer needs, and business outcomes across areas like payments, checkout, subscriptions, pricing, and tax - **Execute with quality and depth**, taking the time to fully solve customer problems rather than shipping partial solutions, and holding a high bar for what "done" means - **Own a wide surface area**, including our other payment processing integrations, execution of pricing and packaging changes, customer onboarding, and our site building product - **Work AI-first** across feedback triage, competitive insight, scoping, and prototyping, increasing both the amount and the quality of what you can scope so we keep pace with engineers who are moving faster than ever - **Think end to end**, from how we retain and win customers, through discovery and scoping, to launch considerations like pricing and packaging, user experience, in-product and customer communication, and team readiness, so new and updated features feel like seamless upgrades and customers get the most value from them - **Stay deeply connected to our customers** by talking with them regularly, understanding their businesses inside and out, and turning what you hear, along with support and sales signal, into clear problems worth solving - **Drive measurable outcomes** by defining success metrics, using data and experiments to guide priorities, and tracking impact on revenue, conversion, retention, and Plus wins - **Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success and Sales** to ship work that moves these metrics, and run retrospectives to keep improving how we work **The person we have in mind likely:** - **Has 6+ years of experience in product management** in mid size companies - **Has at least 2 years product managing commerce products specifically** - **Has a proven track record of driving product strategy and execution** and delivering measurable business impact, particularly in monetization or commerce-focused domains - **Thinks end to end**, planning the rollout from the start, including pricing, user experience, migration, and how we tell customers, and has shipped changes to live products that customers had to adopt - **Executes with depth and quality**, sweating the details, shipping solutions that fully solve the problem, and holding a high bar for quality at speed - **Is customer-obsessed**, and has a strong foundation in Jobs-to-be-Done and direct experience engaging customers - **Demonstrates an exceptional ability to synthesize data**, market trends, and customer feedback into strategic product decisions - **Has a deep understanding of AI's role in product development**, uses AI in their daily workflow, and believes it can unlock our ability to solve more customer problems better - **Thrives in fast-paced, agile environments**, and takes a proactive approach to navigating change and ambiguity **These things would also be nice, but we think you could learn them on the job:** - Experience in e-commerce or online learning - Experience with pricing and packaging, onboarding, or site builders - Knowledge of marketing principles, customer acquisition strategies, and monetization models *The recruitment compensation range for this position is **$150,000 - $175,000**. Your specific compensation within this range is determined based on your job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and our internal equity assessment.
