## About Us Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. We ignite the passions of global sports fans and maximize the presence and reach for our hundreds of sports partners globally by offering products and services across Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, allowing sports fans to Buy, Collect, and Bet. Through the Fanatics platform, sports fans can buy licensed fan gear, jerseys, lifestyle and streetwear products, headwear, and hardgoods; collect physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets; and bet as the company builds its Sportsbook and iGaming platform. Fanatics has an established database of over 100 million global sports fans; a global partner network with approximately 900 sports properties, including major national and international professional sports leagues, players associations, teams, colleges, college conferences and retail partners, 2,500 athletes and celebrities, and 200 exclusive athletes; and over 2,000 retail locations, including its Lids retail stores. Our more than 22,000 employees are committed to relentlessly enhancing the fan experience and delighting sports fans globally. **Location:** Mexico City (CDMX), Mexico **Team:** Platform – Payments & FinOps (CDMX pod) **Level:** TP3 (Product Manager) / TP4 (Senior Product Manager), depending on experience **About the Company** Fanatics Collectibles is a new company operating at the intersection of collectibles, culture, and technology. Backed by world-class investors, operators, and sports & entertainment partners, we are building the global leader in next-generation collectibles. As part of the broader Fanatics ecosystem, we leverage a digital sports platform that spans over 900 sports properties and engages more than 81 million fans. Together, we are reimagining every part of the collectibles experience for fans, partners, and creators. **About Payments & FinOps** Every transaction across our ecosystem moves money in more than one direction. A collector buys a card, a pack, or a break. A seller gets paid out. A refund or dispute gets resolved. Finance closes the books. The Payments & FinOps team builds the software behind all of it. As our platforms and payment options grow, the team is moving from platform-specific payment flows to shared capabilities that every storefront and product can use. Payment options now include cards, digital wallets, PayPal, and loyalty currency like FanCash, alongside a growing international footprint. The goal is shared, reliable financial infrastructure so that each new product launch is faster, safer, and cheaper than the last. The team is based in our Mexico City hub. It partners closely with Engineering, Finance and Accounting, Trust & Safety, Customer Experience, and product teams across the U.S. and internationally. **The Role** We are seeking a Product Manager to own the Payments and FinOps product portfolio for Fanatics Collectibles. You will define the strategy and roadmap for how collectors pay, how sellers get paid, how money is returned when things go wrong, and how every transaction is accounted for. You'll work with engineering, finance, and operations to build homegrown solutions or integrate vendors into our stack. You'll balance conversion, cost, risk, compliance, and operational efficiency. You'll be the product owner of the software and work hand in hand with the business owners of each financial operation to measure and improve its quality of service. This is a high-impact role for a product manager who understands both the collector-facing and back-of-house sides of payments. It suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance long-term platform vision with rapid iteration. **Responsibilities** *Checkout as a Service & Buyer Payments* - Own the roadmap for a shared checkout and payment framework used across our storefronts and products, including marketplace, direct-to-consumer, and live shopping. - Define and prioritize payment methods and flows, including cards, digital wallets, PayPal, loyalty currency (FanCash), stored balances, and split or mixed-tender payments. - Partner with engineering on processor integration and orchestration, authorization and conversion optimization, authentication (3DS/SCA), tokenization, and PCI scope. - Work with Trust & Safety to ensure fraud screening, risk rules, and payment holds are built into the checkout flow rather than bolted on afterward. *Seller Payouts* - Own the payout experience and tooling for sellers, including payout methods (bank transfer, international, PayPal, FanCash), scheduling, fees, holds, and advances. - Drive automation of payout processing to shorten time-to-money for sellers and reduce manual operational work. - Improve the cost and reliability of international payouts as we grow outside the U.S. - Partner with Trust & Safety on payee verification (KYC) and risk review workflows that gate payouts without creating unnecessary friction. *Refunds, Disputes & Adjustments* - Build and improve refund tooling for Customer Experience and Operations, covering full and partial refunds, refunds to the original payment method or to store credit, and fee adjustments. - Define chargeback and dispute management workflows, including evidence collection, processor integration, and reporting on loss rates. - Ensure refund and adjustment flows are auditable, permissioned, and reconciled end to end. *Accounting & Financial Operations Tools* - Partner with Finance and Accounting to define the systems that support ledgering, settlement and processor reconciliation, revenue and fee reporting, and month-end close. - Own requirements for tax-related capabilities such as sales tax/VAT handling and seller tax reporting obligations, in coordination with Finance, Tax, and Legal. - Reduce manual reconciliation and spreadsheet-based processes through automation and better system design. *Payments & FinOps Platform* - Treat payments and financial operations as a platform. Identify the reusable capabilities (ledger, wallet/balance, payout engine, refund service, admin tooling) that other product teams should build on. - Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions and lead vendor discovery, selection, and integration with the relevant business stakeholders. - Serve as the internal subject matter expert on payments and money movement within the Product and Tech org. Maintain clear documentation of flows, systems, and data. - Ensure new products and launches across the ecosystem account for their payment, payout, refund, and accounting impact before they ship. Put gates in the delivery process to avoid financial and operational surprises. *Execution, Measurement & Reporting* - Write clear, precise requirements covering the edge cases payments demands, such as partial failures, retries, idempotency, currency, timing, and reversals. Groom them with engineering. - Participate in testing as a primary stakeholder and own rollout strategies, including phased releases and monitoring. - Define and track key metrics, including authorization and conversion rates, payment costs, payout time and success rates, refund and chargeback rates, and reconciliation accuracy. - Work with Data Engineering and Analytics to make sure financial data flows cleanly into our data infrastructure and supports accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. - Leverage AI best practices in the planning, execution, and monitoring of all the above. AI is an accelerator with guardrails; you are still accountable for the outcome. **Qualifications** - 4+ years of product management experience - Hands-on experience owning payments, checkout, payouts, billing, or financial operations products at a marketplace, ecommerce, or fintech company. - Working knowledge of how money moves: payment processors and gateways / authorization, capture, and settlement / refunds and chargebacks / payout rails / ledger and accounting systems / reconciliation flows - Advanced written specification skills, including the ability to unambiguously define rules-heavy flows and their failure and edge cases. - Experience partnering with engineering on platform and architecture tradeoffs, including building reusable capability versus shipping a point solution. - Experience working directly with Finance, Accounting, Operations, or Risk stakeholders and translating their needs into product requirements. - Strong analytical skills: able to define metrics, specify instrumentation, understand data pipelines, and interpret results independently. - Comfortable operating in a matrixed, cross-functional environment with fast-moving priorities and stakeholders across multiple time zones. - Professional fluency in English, written and spoken. - Passion for collectibles, sports, or fandom-driven communities is a plus *Ensure your Fanatics job offer is legitimate and don’t fall victim to fraud.
