Job description
## **ABOUT US**
Pliant is a modular B2B payments platform that combines commercial card issuing, payment accounts, FX, and spend management in one system — adapting to existing setups rather than requiring customers to replace them.
Businesses across industries such as travel, e-commerce, and insurance use Pliant to manage complex payment workflows with cards, backed by credit lines Pliant underwrites itself.
Fintechs and software platforms embed Pliant's payment infrastructure into their own products, from API-based Cards-as-a-Service to fully white-label solutions. Banks use Pliant's Card & Spend OS, the customer-facing interface, on their own infrastructure to run card programs.
Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Berlin, Pliant serves 5,000+ businesses and 40+ partners across Europe and the United States. A principal member of Visa and Mastercard, Pliant issues commercial cards in 13 currencies across 32 countries — under its own European e-money license and with licensed partners in the UK and US.

## **ABOUT THE ROLE**
As **Senior Product Operations Manager (AI Workflows) (m/f/d)** at Pliant, you’ll own and professionalise the operating system that powers Product across our entire tech org — and reshape it from the ground up with AI.
Roadmaps, PRDs, OKRs, feature-request triage, release management, KPI dashboards: today these processes are spread across Notion, Jira, and Slack, each maintained on the side by someone with a different day job. Your mission is to turn them into one coherent, AI-powered delivery machine — while keeping processes lean and avoiding bureaucracy.
This is a founding role, reporting directly to the CPO. You’ll partner closely with the Heads of Product across our tech groups and interface with Engineering, Design, Commercial, and Support wherever the Product OS touches their work. We’re hiring this role now because AI has changed the equation: PRD generation, feature-request triage, release notes, and many of the other day-to-day Product workflows can now be AI-powered — and chained together they materially change how PMs spend their week. You’ll build that future at Pliant.
## **WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- **Own and continuously evolve Pliant’s Product Operating System** — roadmaps, PRDs, OKRs, feature-request triage, release management, retros, KPIs — turning today’s disparate, side-of-desk processes into one coherent system.
- **Design and ship AI-powered workflows** that take work off PMs’ plates — from PRD drafting to feature-request triage to release notes — and chain them together across the OS.
- **Drive consistency** across our tech organisation where it matters, while preserving autonomy for teams where it doesn’t.
- **Build the Product analytics foundation:** together with our Data team build and maintain the dashboarding infrastructure, KPI governance, data quality standards, and tooling that enable the Product team to work with data, derive insights, and make roadmap decisions.
- **Evaluate and rationalise the Product tool stack** — Notion, Jira, the AI builder layer (Cursor, Claude Code, n8n, Gumloop, Notion AI), and what comes next.
- **Evangelise and enable**: coach PMs on new tools and workflows, capture institutional knowledge, raise the bar for what good Product work looks like at Pliant.
- **Stay close to adjacent functions** — Engineering, Design, Commercial, Support, etc. — so the Product OS interfaces cleanly with theirs.
- **Shape what Product Operations becomes at Pliant** as the function grows.
## **WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- **3–5+ years** in Product Operations, Product Management, Strategy & Operations, Technical Program Management, or similar — ideally with time in a fast-growing B2B SaaS or platform business.
- **Hands-on AI power-user**, with day-to-day fluency in modern AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Notion AI, etc.). **Strongly preferred:** you also build with them — prompting, evals, low-code/no-code workflows (n8n, Gumloop, Make), light scripting, API integrations.
- **Systems thinker** who designs operating models that scale without adding bureaucracy. You know when to formalise and when to keep things lightweight.
- **Strong product instincts and empathy for PMs.** You’ve worked closely with Product teams and understand what helps vs. what gets in the way.
- **Comfort operating in ambiguity** and building from a blank page. Happy to be a single-person team to start and own outcomes end-to-end.
- **Crisp written communicator.** Your writing is part of how you raise the bar.
- **Curious about Pliant’s context** as a B2B platform business. No direct fintech experience required.
- Fluent in English; Berlin preferred, remote possible within the EU.
## **WHAT WE OFFER**
- Founding role in a function Pliant is investing in heavily — the opportunity to define what Product Operations becomes here as we scale.
- High-impact ownership of the processes and workflows that power Product across the entire tech org.
- A fast-moving, product-led organisation with significant growth ahead.
- A highly international, flat, and collaborative team environment.
- Competitive compensation and equity package.
- Flexible work setup (remote, hybrid, or Berlin office).
- Attractive benefits including a monthly mobility allowance, Wellhub membership, and a company card with a lunch/coffee budget.
