Design & Engineering
- Prepare, review, and update design drawings and technical documentation for modification, retrofit, and expansion works of the operating solar plants
- Perform engineering calculations such as string sizing, cable sizing, inverter loading, and protection coordination
- Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and clients for technical clarifications or design approval
- Ensure all design works comply with relevant codes, standards, and internal engineering guidelines
Project Execution & Supervision
- Plan, schedule, and execute project works
- Manage project documentation such as Method of Statement (MOS), HIRARC, PTW, completion reports, etc. in compliance with internal and client requirements
- Lead contractor coordination, including site survey, pre-job arrangement, site readiness, safety briefing, and quality inspection
- Supervise on-site installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure conformance with design and quality requirements
- Track project progress, report site status, and ensure timely delivery within budget and scope
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and permit-to-work systems during project execution
- Ensure all works comply with Solarvest's Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) standards and ISO 45001 procedures
- Participate in incident investigations and implement preventive measures for continuous improvement
Quality & Performance
- Conduct quality inspections, functional testing, and performance verification upon completion of project works
- Support root cause analysis and propose engineering solutions to recurring or complex technical issues
- Review contractor performance and recommend improvement actions
- Maintain technical records and update project close-out documentation for handover to the O&M operations team
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical engineering or construction work background, with project management experience being added advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Possess valid CIDB Green Card and Working at Height certification
- Knowledge of solar PV system design, installation, maintenance, performance monitoring, and electrical protection systems
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements is desirable
- Proficient in solar PV system design, electrical protection coordination, and system integration
- Skilled in using design and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings such as Single-Line-Diagram, PV Layout, etc
- Ability to perform technical due diligence, design validation, and retrofit feasibility studies
