As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management and contractual administration of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget while adhering to the highest standards of quality.Responsibilities Oversee quantity surveying activities throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion. Perform detailed cost estimation, procurement, and cost control functions. Prepare and manage bills of quantities and other pre-contract documentation. Conduct site visits to assess work progress and cost implications. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to budgets and schedules. Draft and review contracts, manage contractual claims, and resolve disputes effectively. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors, promoting a collaborative team environment. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the civil engineering sector. Professional membership (e.g., MRICS) is an advantage. Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement strategies, and cost management principles. Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in relevant software applications and tools for quantity surveying and cost management. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
