Senior Reward Advisor

Job description

### **About us** You've probably heard of Autotrader, but do you know what we're all about? We're the most trusted, most visited automotive marketplace in the UK. A heritage brand and a tech innovator. We bring together vehicle buyers and sellers to give them real choices. Cars may be what we're best known for but we’re also the place for pretty much everything else on wheels, from e-bikes to caravans. In the automotive world, change is a constant, that’s why we take our job of untangling the complex car-buying journey very seriously. At our core, we’re all about people. We go our own way while embracing diversity and celebrating our differences. We dedicate ourselves to the idea that we work better together. Autotrader is a beautiful, surprising and vibrant place to work. We might not be for everyone, but we could be perfect for you. **About the role** We're looking for a Senior Reward Advisor to help deliver and continuously improve our reward, benefits and wellbeing offerings across Autotrader. Working closely with the Reward Manager and wider People team, you'll provide expert advice, analysis and operational support that helps ensure our reward programmes are fair, competitive and aligned with our business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced reward professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with stakeholder engagement and problem solving. You'll support the delivery of core reward activities, including salary reviews, share schemes, benchmarking, job evaluation and reward reporting, while acting as a trusted advisor to managers and colleagues on pay and reward matters. Through clear insight and practical guidance, you'll help ensure reward decisions are consistent, equitable and aligned with our reward principles. With a strong analytical mindset, you'll play an important role in using data and insight to support reward decisions, producing robust analysis, management information and recommendations that help shape our reward approach. You'll also contribute to governance activity through policy maintenance, reporting and the preparation of materials for senior stakeholders. Alongside compensation, you'll support the day-to-day management and improvement of our benefits and wellbeing programmes. This includes working closely with providers, supporting annual renewals and helping develop initiatives that improve employee engagement and experience. As part of the Reward team, you'll identify opportunities to simplify and improve processes, enhance the colleague and manager experience, build strong relationships across the business and develop your reward expertise. **What we're looking for** - Experience across the full reward spectrum, including compensation and benefits, ideally in a Senior Reward Advisor role or as a high-performing Reward Advisor ready to progress into a broader role. - Experience supporting the delivery of cyclical reward activities, including salary reviews, market benchmarking, share plans and the application of job evaluation and grading methodologies such as Willis Towers Watson, Hay or Mercer. - Experience managing employee benefits programmes end-to-end, including supplier and provider relationships, performance monitoring, colleague engagement analysis, and the ongoing development of benefit offerings and platforms. - Strong analytical skills, with proven experience producing high-quality reward analysis, management information and stakeholder-ready presentations, translating complex data into clear insights and recommendations to support decision-making. - Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and provide clear, practical reward advice on pay, promotions, grading and benefits while translating complex reward concepts into engaging guidance for colleagues, managers and senior stakeholders. - Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to deadlines. - A proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach, with a desire to continuously improve processes and ways of working. During our application process, you will be asked two questions to help us learn more about you and how you align with our values. These will be used as part of our selection criteria, to determine if we progress your application further. ### **Benefits** We’re offering a salary of £45,000 – £55,000 plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares. You'll have 28 days holiday per year, and that's in addition to bank holidays and half day closures on Christmas and New Year's Eve. That’s not all. You'll be enrolled in our pension scheme, where our standard contributions are 7% and employee contributions are 5%. We also have comprehensive private medical cover, enhanced family leave provisions, a car salary sacrifice scheme, share-save options, and much more. We always want to give you the support you need and help prioritise your wellbeing, that’s why we provide access to Bupa digital GP, as well as specialist support for assisted fertility, gender dysphoria, menopause, period care plans and lots more. On top of all that, our hybrid model, [Connected Working](https://careers.autotrader.co.uk/blog/connected-working/connected-working), combines the best of both worlds – office and home working. You'll spend a minimum of 3 days a week in the office with your team, focused on collaboration and connection. Additionally, we have our remote-first periods at set times during summer and winter. During these periods, you can work remotely anywhere in the UK and from certain locations abroad. Alongside a wide range of benefits, we'll help you settle in with confidence from day one. If you're successful, one of the first things you'll experience is our tailored new-starter induction programme, [Great Start,](https://careers.autotrader.co.uk/blog/career-stories/great-start) designed to help you feel welcome, connected, and set up for success. #LI-EC1 #LI-HYBRID
