Senior SEO Consultant

#### **Who We Are** WPP Enterprise Solutions designs, builds, and operates the growth systems that competitive businesses rely on. In a world where Al is reshaping how companies drive growth, we lead clients in business transformation and marketing modernization, connecting strategy directly to execution. Our 12,000 experts in engineering and platforms, commerce, consulting, content transformation, CRM, and CX work within a unified global operating unit across 40+ markets. WPP Enterprise Solutions works alongside best-in-class partners including Adobe, AWS, Braze, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, and Shopify, as well as innovators in AI, to deliver growth solutions tailored to the needs of our clients’ businesses. VML, part of WPP, supports WPP Enterprise Solutions by helping brands activate transformation through creativity and experience. **What's happening** Over 50% of Google searches now end without a click. ChatGPT has 2.5 billion daily users. The brands that LLMs learn to recommend early are becoming the default choices. This isn't a future scenario. It's now. At WPP ES, our Discoverability team works at the intersection of traditional search and generative AI. We help enterprise clients end to end: from visibility audits and competitive benchmarking, through priority page optimization and entity architecture, to fully embedded GEO operating models with governance, training, and real-time performance dashboards. We run these for enterprise clients across FMCG, consumer electronics, healthcare, sports nutrition, and financial services. We need a senior consultant who can lead the SEO side of this with authority, act as a strategic sparring partner for our clients, and grow into GEO with curiosity and pace. **What you'll do** This is a senior consultant role. You don't just execute SEO - you steer clients toward the right strategy, challenge their assumptions when needed, and help them get there. - **Own the client relationship on discoverability.** You're the strategic sparring partner for marketing leads and digital directors. You advise, align, and drive decisions. - **Lead end-to-end SEO and GEO strategies** for enterprise clients: from audit and roadmap through implementation, content optimization, technical fixes, and ongoing performance management. - **Drive measurable results.** You don't stop at the recommendation. You own the path from insight to implementation to impact, whether that's restructuring priority pages, improving entity coverage, or building a GEO dashboard. - **Turn data into direction.** GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog are your daily tools. But the value is in the recommendation, not the report. - **Coach and develop** medior and junior specialists. On craft, on client skills, on quality standards. - **Shape our GEO proposition.** This discipline is young. You'll help define how we audit, optimize, and measure brand visibility in AI search. - **Collaborate internationally** across WPP ES’ 55+ market network. **Who you are** - **A senior consultant, not just a specialist.** You've led complex SEO engagements and advised stakeholders at director level. You understand technical SEO, content strategy, and how both connect to commercial outcomes. - **Someone clients trust to steer them.** You communicate with confidence, ground your advice in evidence, and don't shy away from a difficult recommendation. - **Curious about what comes next.** GEO is new. You're energized by that. You read, experiment, and form your own opinions on how AI is reshaping discoverability. - **A multiplier.** You make the people around you better at their work, not just better at following yours. **What you'll need** - **7+ years of hands-on SEO experience**, both technical and strategic, on complex multi-market websites - Tooling fluency: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, GA4 - Proven consultancy skills. You've advised clients at senior level and steered strategic direction, not just delivered reports - Mentoring experience. You've helped others grow, formally or informally - Fluent in English. Dutch is highly desirable - Currently **residing in the Netherlands and with a current right to work** if applicable - GEO experience is a plus, not a prerequisite. Deeply curious and ready to pioneer counts **The team** You'll be part of the SEO/GEO team of 10 specialists within WPP ES' Commerce Performance practice. The team shapes how brands get found in traditional search and in AI-generated answers. **What we offer** **Our compensation:** - A salary of 4,800.- to 5,400.- gross/month, based on experience. - An additional gross annual 8% holiday allowance pay. - A mobility package to suit your commuting needs. - Competitive pension benefits. - A choice of a Mac or Windows laptop. **Our culture:** - A flexible hybrid schedule that puts your work-life balance first. - A culture of trust, with a feel-at-home vibe and an international environment. - Mental health: Complimentary membership EAP (Employee Assistant Programme) counseling services. - Wellness pack: access to in-building yoga/ pilates classes (when available), our own in-house chair masseuse, bootcamp initiatives, etc. - Working with a renowned international customer base, B2B and B2C customers. - End of the week drinks, team events and parties. **The real draw:** you'll work on a discipline that is defining the next decade of digital marketing. Real clients, real complexity, and the space to shape something new. **About WPP ES** Part of WPP, 26,000 people, 55+ markets.
