Senior Software Engineer

Job description

## A world empowered by autonomy. We build robotic vehicles to improve logistics safety, forge a greener Earth, and enhance human lives. We are a closely-knit team aspiring to change the world through disruptive technology. We are innovators. We are tinkerers. We are problem-solvers. And we have a fair amount of magic dust up our sleeves. We have a plan for fleet-level deployment of autonomous vehicles, and we are looking for the best-of-the-best to join us in making this a reality. ## About Venti Technologies Based in the U.S. and Asia, Venti Technologies is the leader in safe-speed autonomous logistics systems, developing the future of goods transportation. Using rigorous mathematics, deep learning, and theoretically- grounded algorithms, Venti has a proprietary collection of autonomy technologies including a suite of powerful logistics algorithms. Venti’s proven value proposition of saving costs, increasing vehicle utilization, and improving safety is recognized by customers and driving growth. Launched in 2018, Venti brings together an unsurpassed team internationally. The company has autonomous systems deployed in Asia for industrial and logistics sites and a growing pipeline. Venti has offices in Cambridge (Massachusetts, USA), Suzhou (China), and Singapore – our Asian headquarters. ## **Software Infrastructure - Regression testing tools** **About the team** Our Software Infrastructure team builds advanced simulation and regression testing tools that keep our autonomous systems safe and reliable in the real world. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead core simulation and regression testing initiatives. In this role, you will architect and scale the testing pipelines that validate our autonomous driving stack, helping ensure it meets rigorous standards for safety, reliability, and performance. **What you will do** - Lead the architectural design of our simulation tools to support high-throughput, real-time execution. - Design and develop AI-enabled frameworks that generate simulation and log-based test cases using real-world driving data. - Partner with software, robotics, and systems engineers to enable diverse simulation modalities, including perception-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop and vehicle-in-the-loop testing. - Contribute to long-term technical roadmaps for our testing infrastructure by evaluating both internal solutions and third-party tools. - Guide junior and mid-level engineers by championing best practices, conducting thorough code reviews, and advocating for robust system design. **Skills we look for** - A bachelor's degree in computer science, Robotics, or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience. - Advanced proficiency in modern C++ (C++14 or newer). - Proven expertise in architecting and deploying scalable, high-performance solutions. - Experience with modern graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL, Vulkan) is a plus. - Strong applied knowledge of linear algebra and computational geometry (e.g., transforms, projections, splines, collision detection) is a plus. - Prior experience with robotics frameworks like ROS2 is a plus.
