Senior Software Engineer (Capture)

Job description

## **Who We Are** Pindrop is a cybersecurity company delivering continuous identity verification across voice, video, and digital interactions. Powered by the Pindrop Intelligence Network, our unified trust platform helps enterprises answer three critical questions: **Is this identity synthetic?** Detect AI-generated and manipulated voice and video. **Is this identity risky?** Identify fraud, suspicious behavior, and other risk signals. **Is this identity known?** Authenticate identities using voice, device, behavioral, and other signals. Pindrop brings this intelligence together across purpose-built trust engines to help organizations make informed decisions in real time — protecting customers, workforce interactions, and emerging AI-driven interactions. Pindrop protects billions of high-risk interactions for enterprises, including leading financial institutions, insurers, and healthcare organizations. Its technology is informed by more than 8 billion real-world interactions annually and protected by 300+ patents. Recognized by TIME as one of the 10 Most Influential Software Companies of 2026 and by Inc. for Best in Business for Innovation, Pindrop is backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, IVP, and CapitalG. ### What you’ll do As a Senior Software Engineer on the Capture team, you will design, build, and operate the distributed services that form Pindrop's real-time ingestion layer. You will engineer systems that acquire, normalize, and deliver real-time and recorded audio, video, and telephony metadata across provider platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Google Meet, Amazon Connect, Genesys) into Pindrop’s downstream analytics, fraud detection, and authentication engines. This is a product-engineering role focused on real-time media ingestion, low-latency streaming pipelines, provider integrations, and production reliability. It is not an ML model-development or model-scoring role. *More specifically, you will:* - Design, build, test, deploy, and operate distributed Go microservices and media pipelines optimized for low-latency processing, high availability, and fault tolerance. - Build and evolve integrations across communication technologies and protocols, including SIPREC, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, and enterprise contact center platforms. - Lead projects from architecture and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support. - Diagnose complex distributed systems issues using logs, metrics, traces, and system tests; improve service reliability, capacity, and security. - Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentoring junior engineers. - Partner closely with Product, System Test, Infrastructure, SRE, and adjacent analytics teams to deliver seamless data ingestion. - Participate in a shared on-call rotation after completing team training and production-readiness onboarding. ### Who you are - Resilient & Adaptable: You are optimistic in the face of ambiguity and change, turning complex engineering challenges into scalable solutions. - Accountable Owner: You take end-to-end responsibility for outcomes, under-promising and over-delivering on commitments. - Analytical Problem Solver: You possess strong analytical skills and enjoy driving technical design, project leadership, and mentorship. - Clear Communicator: You communicate complex technical concepts clearly to cross-functional partners and make decisions understandable across teams. ### Your skill-set *Must Have* - 5+ years of professional software development experience building and operating distributed backend services in production. - Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or a comparable compiled language, with strong Linux/Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance tuning fundamentals. - Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP), containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps practices (Terraform/CDK, CI/CD pipelines). - Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex issues in distributed systems, including participation in on-call production support. *Nice to Have* - Experience with real-time communication protocols and streaming frameworks (SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, GStreamer). - Experience integrating with telephony, contact-center, CPaaS, or meeting platforms (Amazon Connect, Genesys, Zoom, Teams, Webex). - Experience with event-driven messaging systems (Apache Kafka/MSK), distributed caching, or service-to-service API design (REST/gRPC). - Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and security best practices in compliance-sensitive cloud environments. ### What You’ll Gain Build Pindrop's "front door"—the real-time ingestion layer for communication data from global providers like Zoom, Teams, Webex, and Verizon. Your work directly feeds the deepfake detection and voice security engines that protect billions of interactions for the world's top financial institutions and enterprises. You will solve high-impact distributed systems puzzles at enterprise scale alongside world-class engineering, security, and AI minds. - Work with experienced engineering leaders and teammates who value technical excellence, curiosity, thoughtful debate, and continuous improvement. - Work on technology operating at enterprise scale that determines whether the person—or AI—on the other side of an interaction can be trusted. - With *Audaciously Innovate* as our core value, you’ll incorporate AI into your development workflow, experiment with emerging tools, and help define modern AI-enabled engineering practices. - Collaborate across Engineering, Product, and SRE to challenge assumptions, influence technical direction, and turn complex requirements into scalable systems. - Expand your influence through architecture, technical decision-making, mentorship, and cross-functional leadership. ### What we offer As a part of Pindrop, you’ll have a direct impact on our growing list of products and the future of security in the voice-driven economy. We hire great people and take care of them. Here’s a snapshot of the benefits we offer: - Competitive compensation package, including RSUs (Restricted Stock Units) for all employees, so everyone shares in our long-term success. - Remote-first environment - giving you flexibility and autonomy in how you structure your day. - While we work flexibly, we prioritize meaningful in-person moments through regular team on-sites, company-wide events, and intentional gatherings that foster connection, collaboration, and shared success. - Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO) - Generous health and welfare plans to choose from - including one employer-paid “employee-only” plan! - Best-in-class Health Savings Account (HSA) employer contribution - Low-cost vision and dental plans for you and your family, providing comprehensive coverage and peace of mind. - Paid Parental Leave - Including birth, adoptive & foster parents - One year of diaper delivery for your newest addition to the family!
