In this role, you'll have the opportunity to: - Take ownership of tax engagements from planning through completion - Work directly with closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals - Develop your technical expertise on complex business and individual tax matters - Build meaningful client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor - Collaborate with experienced tax professionals who are committed to mentoring and knowledge sharing - Grow your career within a nationally recognized advisory and accounting firm As a Senior Tax Associate, your typical day may include: - Preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns for partnerships, S corporations, corporations, and individuals - Reviewing workpapers, trial balances, and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy - Taking ownership of assigned engagements and driving projects to timely completion - Researching tax issues and identifying planning opportunities for clients - Collaborating with clients to gather information and resolve tax-related questions - Responding to review comments and managing revisions efficiently - Supporting tax planning and consulting engagements across a variety of industries - Mentoring and developing junior team members through coaching and review of their work - Building strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service - Working closely with managers and partners to deliver high-quality client outcomes ### Qualifications: We're seeking a self-motivated professional who combines strong technical tax expertise with a sense of ownership and accountability. Successful candidates will have: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting - 3-5 years of public accounting tax experience - Experience preparing and reviewing corporate, S corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns - Strong understanding of workpaper preparation, review processes, and engagement management - Experience reviewing trial balances and clearing review notes effectively - Ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines and utilization goals - Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and CPA firm operations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience working directly with clients and building trusted relationships - Strong proficiency with tax software and related technology tools - CPA or EA designation (preferred, but not required)
