Location New York, New York Shift: Day (United States of America) Description: Take Pride In Your Career Senior Laboratory Technologist - Central Labs/Chemistry - Days As the largest and busiest Central Lab/Chemistry department in New York, we set the standards for our field. Our technologists are conducting the widest array of testing in this fast-paced, high-volume environment. Here, you will gain more experience with analysis not being performed anywhere else, including rare opportunities with antibody identification and immunohematology problems. In addition to technical responsibilities you will assume some supervision and coordination of the activities of the laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative test. Here, you will have the ability to train and guide laboratory technologist, participate in problem-solving processes and maintain quality assurance and quality control standards, among other responsibilities. This is a full-time day shift position 8:00am-4:00pm including rotating weekends and holidays, located at our NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center campus on Manhattan's upper East side. Preferred Criteria 6 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist ASCP certification Required Criteria A minimum of two years' experience in Transfusion Medicine A bachelor’s degree in medical technology (or equivalent experience) New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
