Job description

**Who We Are:** [C](https://www.crashplan.com/en-us/)[rashPlan](https://www.crashplan.com/en-us/)® provides cyber-ready data resilience and governance in a single platform for organizations whose ideas power their revenue. With its comprehensive backup and recovery capabilities for data stored on servers, on endpoint devices, and in SaaS applications, CrashPlan’s solutions are trusted by entrepreneurs, professionals, and businesses of all sizes worldwide. From ransomware recovery and breaches to migrations and legal holds, CrashPlan’s suite of products ensures the safety and compliance of your data without disruption. **What You Will Be Doing:** We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our product team in Bangalore. In this role, you’ll help shape intuitive, effective experiences for customers using CrashPlan’s data protection and backup solutions. You’ll partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs, simplify complex workflows, and translate product requirements into thoughtful, user-centered experiences. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable owning the design process from discovery and concept development through detailed design and implementation. Day in the Life: - Own UX design for key product areas and features, from early concepts through final implementation. - Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to define problems, explore solutions, and deliver experiences that balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical considerations. - Translate complex workflows and technical concepts into clear, intuitive user experiences. - Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate and validate solutions. - Conduct and incorporate user research, usability testing, customer feedback, and product data into design decisions. - Help establish and maintain consistent design patterns and experiences across the product. - Collaborate closely with Engineering throughout development to ensure the intended experience is carried through to the final product. - Identify opportunities to improve existing experiences, not just design new features. - Clearly communicate design rationale and recommendations to stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and the broader organization. - Contribute to the continued evolution of UX practices, standards, and processes within the organization. **Who You Are:** Required Qualifications: - 6+ years of experience in UX, product design, or a related discipline, ideally designing B2B SaaS or other complex software products. - A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including complex workflows and problem solving—not just visual design. - Strong experience with interaction design, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and usability principles. - Experience conducting or participating in user research and usability testing and translating insights into product improvements. - Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and workflows for users. - Strong proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma. - Experience partnering closely with Product Managers and software engineers in an Agile product development environment. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain and advocate for design decisions. - Comfortable working with globally distributed teams and collaborating across time zones. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of design work with limited direction. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience designing enterprise software, cybersecurity, data protection, backup/recovery, IT administration, or other technically complex products. - Experience designing products used by IT administrators or other technical users. - Experience working with or contributing to a design system. - Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices. - Experience working within a global SaaS organization. **What Success Looks Like:** You’ll be successful in this role if you can quickly understand our customers and technology, bring clarity to complex product problems, and work effectively across Product and Engineering to create experiences that are both highly usable and technically achievable.
