Senior Web UX/UI Designer

Job description

Do you care deeply about visual hierarchy, interaction details, and how a webpage feels to use? Do you believe design isn’t decoration, it’s how products communicate, guide, and solve complex problems? If you enjoy refining pixels, building coherent web systems, and eliminating friction for smart users, this is for you. ## **About JetBrains** We create intelligent software development tools for developers and teams. More than 15 million users, over 300,000 companies, and 88 of the Fortune Global Top 100 rely on our products to solve real, complex problems. Our mission is simple: make development teams more productive and AI adoptable at scale. ## **What you’ll do** Our web presence is often the first interaction developers and teams have with JetBrains. As software evolves, our web products and tools need to clearly communicate complex concepts while staying intuitive, accessible, and fast. You’ll take ownership of major web design initiatives across our ecosystem. Instead of applying surface polish, you’ll tackle core visual and structural challenges, building scalable design patterns, improving user journeys, and shaping how our web interfaces operate across devices. You’ll collaborate directly with product managers and developers, bringing visual clarity to complicated workflows and ensuring our web pages meet the high standards our users expect. Day to day, you will: - Design responsive, accessible web pages and interaction flows. - Build, maintain, and evolve scalable web design systems and UI component libraries. - Turn complex technical concepts and user requirements into intuitive visual experiences. - Collaborate closely with developers to ensure implementation stays true to design intent. - Test, iterate, and refine designs based on user feedback and real-world usage patterns. ## **What you’ll bring** - Attention to structure, layout systems, and interaction details. - A systems-thinking mindset that prioritizes consistency and scalability over isolated fixes. - Clear, articulate reasoning behind design decisions when collaborating with other teams. - Strong self-direction and comfort taking ownership of end-to-end design initiatives. - Genuine curiosity about how users interact with web pages. ## **What you’ll need** - A portfolio demonstrating complex Web/UI/UX projects delivered from concept to production. - Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools like Figma. - A strong understanding of modern web standards and responsive design. - Experience creating and managing web design systems and UI component libraries. - A track record of designing accessible, inclusive web interfaces aligned with WCAG standards. ## **What success looks like** Success means delivering web experiences that feel effortless, consistent, and visually refined. You’ll know you’re succeeding when complex user flows become clear, design components scale seamlessly across products, and both internal teams and end-users trust the quality of your work. ## **Why join JetBrains?** - Strong base salary. We offer competitive pay that reflects your skills and experience. - Flexible work location. Enjoy the freedom to work from home or from the office. - Remote work. Spend up to 30 days per year working remotely from abroad. - Extra time off. More days to relax, recharge, and do the things you love. - Medical insurance allowance. Enjoy peace of mind for you and your family - Learning and development opportunities. Access to conferences, courses, and language classes. - Language classes. Pick up the local language or sharpen your English skills. - Fuel your day. Enjoy a hot meal or receive a lunch allowance on workdays. - Mental health support. To help you feel your best, we provide easy access to professional mental health services. - Sports benefit. Enjoy an on-site gym or sports club stipend. - Internal events. Join company-wide celebrations and team gatherings. \*Some benefits may vary depending on location.
