Service Advisor – Murgado Ford of Chicago **Location:** Chicago, IL | **Job Type:** Full-time | **Pay:** Competitive base pay plus performance-based incentives About Murgado Ford of Chicago Murgado Ford of Chicago, part of Murgado Automotive Group, is looking for a customer-focused **Service Advisor** to join our service team. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for customers during the vehicle maintenance and repair process, helping ensure a smooth, transparent, and professional service experience from drop-off to delivery. What You’ll Do - Greet customers promptly and provide a welcoming, professional service experience. - Listen to customer concerns, document vehicle issues, and create accurate repair orders. - Communicate recommended maintenance and repair needs clearly to customers. - Provide estimates, explain costs, and keep customers updated on repair status and timing. - Coordinate with technicians to help ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently. - Recommend additional services based on vehicle inspection findings and maintenance schedules. - Resolve customer questions or concerns with professionalism and urgency. - Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, warranty, and repair documentation. What We’re Looking For - Previous Service Advisor experience or a similar customer-facing automotive role preferred. - Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance services. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly. - Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. - Ability to multitask and stay professional in a fast-paced service environment. - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive or customer service training is a plus. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.
