Site Support Manager - Aftermarket Sales - WA

Job description

**THE OPPORTUNITY** This is the opportunity to operate as the hands-on technical problem solver and commercial "mini-GM" for a portfolio of 5-10 major operating mine sites. You'll be on-site using your expertise, experience, and tools like 3D scanning, thermal scanning, and our SlurryIQ optimisation program to diagnose slurry wear problems directly with Reliability Engineers and Superintendents. At Beaver, we've got proven premium products and a fanastic internal team, all focused on delivering the right outcome for the client. This role is for someone who wants to get on site, solve technical problems, make decisions, earn client trust, deliver reliable solutions, grow the business, and grow their career. **THE ROLE** This is a senior technical sales & support role where you will own a portfolio of 5–10 key operating mine sites. You will lead with technical problem-solving on-site while running these accounts like your own business, maximizing growth and building deep, strategic relationships at every level. **What you’ll own:** - Trusted Go-To Partner: Build deep, site-level trust with plant teams by consistently providing rapid response, technical expertise, reliable follow-through, and exceptional service. - "Mini-GM" Territory Ownership: Own the portfolio like your own business, managing everything from site-level "mud" troubleshooting to Perth head office influence. - Hands-On Technical Problem Solving: Spend a minimum of 30% of your time on-site (~3 days per fortnight, plus ad-hoc rapid response to urgent site needs). Diagnose over 80% of on-site slurry piping system issues directly with plant engineers. - Advanced Site Diagnostics: Execute 3D scanning and thermal imaging on-site to capture precise dimensional and wear data, giving you a clear technical reason to be on-site as a trusted advisor rather than a salesperson. - Upgrade With SlurryIQ: Move from "break-fix" replacement sales to re-optimising whole lines end-to-end using our SlurryIQ technology. - Specification Development: Engage site asset teams and head office engineering leads to "open" master specifications and provide evidence to ensure Beaver is the preferred technical standard. - Competitor Displacement: Actively hunt for incumbent weaknesses and use on-site technical audits and scanning data to prove Beaver’s superior life-cycle value. **WHO YOU ARE** **Character Traits** - High Care Factor & Client Focus: You genuinely care about the client’s operational outcomes. You treat client problems as your own and ensure every solution delivers real technical and financial value. - Technical Problem Solver: You enjoy getting into the details of complex piping failures, getting hands-on with scanning tools, and troubleshooting solutions directly with plant engineers. - Commercially Minded: You possess strong business acumen and understand client cost drivers, downtime impacts, and decision-making structures to frame technical solutions in terms of plant ROI. - High Drive & Ownership: You are a proactive, decisive operator who takes total accountability for your patch and creates your own opportunities. - Action-First Bias: You are decisive and prefer asking for forgiveness rather than permission to solve problems and close deals faster. - Strong Will to Win: You are driven to win and relentless in your pursuit of results, balanced with a deep commitment to delivering technical value for the client. - Beaver Core Values Match: You demonstrate high integrity, proactive ownership, speed of action, and a collaborative, team-first attitude. **Experience** - Site-Based Technical Background: Ideally 3+ years in a site-based technical support, reliability engineering or hands-on role within mineral process. - Equipment Supplier Experience: Ideally 3+ years in a site-focused key account or technical sales role within mineral process (e.g., pumps, cyclones, valves, piping, hoses, mills, coveyors, etc). - Technical Qualifications: Trade qualification (mechanical), engineering degree (mechanical), or significant hands-on fixed plant slurry experience. - Technical Problem Solving: Experience identifying site problems, scoping engineered solutions, navigating commercial requirements, and delivering technical upgrades. **Likely Profiles** - Technical Specialist / Application Engineer: You have strong site experience troubleshooting fixed plant wear problems and are ready to step into a high-autonomy commercial account management role where your technical expertise drives revenue. - Frustrated Account Manager: You are already at an equipment supplier in mineral process but are tired of the red tape. You want more autonomy, highly-respected premium products, a fantastic support team, and a pathway to progress your career. **WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY?** This is the opportunity to lead with technical expertise on-site while operating as a "mini-GM" for your portfolio of major mine sites. You will take total ownership of driving growth, backed by a support team built to maximise your success. - Hands-On Technical Focus: Real site value-add through 3D scanning, thermal imaging, and SlurryIQ line optimization. - High Autonomy: Enjoy the freedom to make decisions and run your accounts with total ownership. - Premium Product Range: Sell a respected and proven manufactured range that the industry trusts, across our Slurryflex, Abrasiguard, and Defender brands. - Excellent Package: Highly competitive base salary, company vehicle or allowance, and an incentive structure that rewards results. - Great Team & Elite Support: We're building a specialised support engine across Technical Sales, Customer Operations, Product Technical, and Engineering. Clients regularly tell us we have the "best customer support in the industry". - The Power of Vertical Integration: We control our own manufacturing through our Brisbane plant, allowing you to talk directly to the team delivering the product and back your solutions with total confidence. - Strong Company with Global Ambitions: Join an agile, highly successful business executing an exciting long-term international expansion strategy. You get the speed and culture of a market challenger with the career trajectory of a global business.
