This role requires a strong understanding of SMSF legislation, tax compliance and financial reporting. Main duties include:SMSF Compliance & Administration Prepare annual financial statements for SMSFs, including operating statements and member balances. Prepare business activity statements quarterly Prepare detailed workpapers to reconcile the SMSF Financial Statements for Audit purposes Taxation & Reporting Prepare SMSF tax calculations and ensure timely lodgement. Manage GST, PAYG, and other relevant tax obligations where applicable. Investment & Transaction Processing Record and reconcile investment transactions including shares, property, managed funds, and alternative assets. Ensure proper classification and valuation of investments. Review and reconcile bank accounts, broker statements, and other financial data. Regulatory Updates & Continuous Improvement Stay up to date with changes in superannuation and tax legislation. Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. Assist with internal training and knowledge sharing. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA, CPA, or progress towards professional qualification. Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in SMSF accounting or public practice. Strong knowledge of Australian superannuation legislation and tax law. Experience with Class 360 SMSF software. Experience with Xero Practice Manager and FYI Docs (not essential) High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
