Social Media & Content Manager

Job description

**Who we are:** We're one of Europe's fastest-growing fintech companies – on a mission to create the world's most empowering way to pay. We launched the product in 2020 and achieved double unicorn status, valued at $2 billion, and since then have taken on more than 6 million customers. Our mission is to become the best way to pay for anything, anywhere and say goodbye to credit costs for everyone. This is huge. Want to join us? **About the role.** Zilch is looking for an experienced social media and content manager to help shape how we show up online. You’ll lead our LinkedIn presence and manage content for the company blog, turning company, product, partnership and customer stories into clear, engaging material. This is a hands-on role. You’ll be well-connected across the business, find stories, plan what to share, write and edit content, publish it, and learn from how it performs. You’ll help Zilch build a consistent presence throughout the year, not just around major announcements, and support senior leaders to share their ideas and expertise. LinkedIn experience is essential. The role also covers the company blog and may extend to other channels as Zilch’s needs and opportunities evolve. As a payments business, accuracy and good judgement matter: you’ll need to make complex topics easy to understand without losing the detail. **Day to day responsibilities.** - Own the day-to-day running of Zilch’s LinkedIn presence, including the content plan, publishing schedule and performance reviews. - Translate Zilch’s communications objectives into editorial priorities and content plans, making day-to-day decisions within agreed messaging and approval guidelines. - Manage the company blog: develop story ideas, write and edit articles, coordinate contributions and keep content up to date. - Write and edit clear, engaging posts, explainers, customer and partner stories, and other content for social channels and the blog. - Find useful stories in Zilch’s products, partnerships, people and business updates, and work with colleagues to bring them to life. - Help senior leaders develop a confident, authentic voice on LinkedIn. This may include drafting posts, articles and commentary on their behalf. - Turn company announcements and business milestones into a range of useful content for the blog, LinkedIn and other relevant channels. - Work with design, video and other teams to create content in formats that suit the story and the audience. - Track what people respond to, report on results and use these insights to improve results against channel objectives and performance measures agreed with communications leadership. - Keep an eye on relevant conversations and trends, and bring forward timely ideas that fit Zilch. - You’ll sit within the communications team and work closely with Marketing, Product, Commercial and Legal teams to find stories, check facts and coordinate content. - Establish and improve editorial workflows, briefing and approval processes, and content standards, working with Legal and other teams to ensure accuracy and timely publication. - Guide colleagues who contribute content, sharing feedback and practical advice to strengthen writing quality and consistency. - Help develop Zilch’s presence on other channels where there is a good opportunity to reach the right audience. This could include existing or new social platforms, video, newsletters or other formats. - Develop relationships and support work with creators, influencers or finance voices when it fits a campaign. **What we’re looking for...** - Around 5-10 years’ experience in social media, content or editorial roles. - Strong, hands-on experience managing and creating content for LinkedIn. You can show how you’ve built a consistent company or executive presence on the platform. - Excellent writing and editing skills, with examples of work that is clear, engaging and well judged. - Experience planning and delivering content from idea to publication, including managing an editorial calendar or blog. - The ability to explain financial, technical or regulatory topics in plain English while keeping them accurate. - Good editorial judgement and close attention to detail, especially when working with sensitive or complex subjects. - A creative flair for developing great content and the ability to spot trends and jump on them early - Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage several pieces of work at once. - Confidence working with senior leaders and colleagues across different teams to find and develop stories. - The drive to make connections with finfluencers in the industry and collaborate - Experience with other social channels or content formats is useful, and you’re open to exploring new ones as Zilch’s needs develop. A background in finance, fintech or technology would be preferable. Experience in another consumer-facing or regulated industry would also be relevant. **Benefits.** **Compensation & Savings:** - Pension scheme. - Death in Service scheme. - Income Protection. - Permanent employees enjoy access to our Share Options Scheme. - 5% back on in-app purchases. - £200 for WFH Setup. **Health & Wellbeing:** - Private Medical Insurance including; - GP consultations (video, telephone or face-to-face). - Prescribed medication. - In-patient, day-patient and out-patient care. - Mental health support. - Optical, dental & audiological cover. - Physiotherapy. - Advanced cancer cover. - Menopause support. - Employee Assistance Programme including: - Unlimited mental health sessions. - 24/7 remote GP & physiotherapy. - 24/7 helpline for emotional & practical support. - Savings & discounts on everyday shopping. - 1:1 personalised well-being consultations. - Gym membership discounts. **Family Friendly Policies:** - Enhanced maternity pay. - Enhanced paternity pay. - Enhanced adoption pay. - Enhanced shared parental leave. **Learning & Development:** - Professional Qualifications. - Professional Memberships. - Learning Suite for e-courses. - Internal Training Programmes. - FCA & Regulatory training. **Workplace Perks:** - Hybrid working: office-based Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote working Tuesday and Friday - Casual dress code. - Workplace socials. - Healthy snacks.
