Software Developer (Full Stack)

Job description

**This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Developer (Full Stack) based in Brazil.** As a Full Stack Software Developer, you will play a key role in building and evolving scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that support a global technology platform. You will work across the entire software development lifecycle, from designing new features to modernizing legacy systems and optimizing integrations. The role combines modern frontend development with robust backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices. You will collaborate with a distributed, cross-functional team to deliver reliable, maintainable, and user-friendly solutions. AI-assisted development tools will help you accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and enhance engineering productivity. This fully remote, contract-based opportunity offers the chance to contribute to innovative agricultural technology solutions while solving complex technical challenges in a collaborative Agile environment. ### Accountabilities - Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software modules and services across the full technology stack, translating product roadmap priorities into reliable, maintainable code. - Build responsive, mobile-friendly user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, ensuring seamless integration with backend services and third-party platforms. - Develop backend services, APIs, and business logic using C#, .NET Core, and Python, while designing efficient data models, managing database migrations, and optimizing queries. - Build and maintain event-driven and message-based architectures using technologies such as RabbitMQ, supporting reliable communication between services. - Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests, troubleshoot defects, refactor existing code, reduce technical debt, and optimize application performance. - Implement feature flags and incremental release strategies to support safe deployments, maintain up-to-date dependencies, and improve overall application reliability. - Leverage AI-powered development tools, including code-generation assistants and agent-based workflows, to accelerate development, improve code quality, and streamline engineering processes. - Contribute to AWS cloud infrastructure, services, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable application delivery. - Apply security and compliance best practices across applications and infrastructure, conduct thorough code reviews, and maintain clear technical documentation, including READMEs, API documentation, and operational runbooks. - Collaborate with internal teams and fellow engineers through technical discussions, code reviews, pair programming, and mob programming, sharing knowledge and supporting continuous improvement. - Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, while providing on-call support for production systems as part of a team rotation. ## Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least five years of hands-on full stack software development experience. - Strong frontend development skills using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, combined with backend development experience in C#, .NET Core, and Python. - Practical experience working with relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and MongoDB. - Experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda, or equivalent AWS solutions. - Proven ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures, develop reliable APIs, and integrate applications with external systems. - Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms, to generate, review, debug, or optimize code. - Strong understanding of mobile-first design principles and experience developing responsive or mobile-enabled applications for real-world use cases. - Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipeline design, automated testing, deployment processes, and software release management. - Solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies, collaborative engineering practices, code quality standards, and technical documentation. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify performance bottlenecks and resolve complex technical issues. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, provide technical guidance, and contribute to constructive code reviews. - Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fully remote environment. **Nice to have:** - Experience integrating HubSpot CRM and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP. - Familiarity with additional AWS services, including AWS Glue, SNS, SES, and CloudWatch. - Knowledge of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services. ## Benefits - Fully remote work arrangement, offering flexibility to work from Brazil. - Contract-based engagement with the opportunity to contribute to a global technology platform. - The opportunity to work on impactful agricultural technology solutions at the intersection of cloud computing, data, and modern software engineering. - Hands-on involvement in new feature development, legacy system modernization, cloud infrastructure, and technology improvements. - A collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment that encourages knowledge sharing, technical growth, and continuous improvement. - Exposure to modern development practices, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, cloud-native services, and CI/CD automation. - Opportunities to contribute ideas, influence technical decisions, and improve software quality and engineering efficiency.
