We’re growing quickly and looking for people who want to build, not just operate. ## The Role We’re looking for a **Solutions Engineering Developer** to join our Solutions Architecture organization and build the internal tools, applications, and automations that help our Solutions team move faster and operate at scale. This is a highly hands-on engineering role at the intersection of **software development and Solutions Architecture**. You’ll work closely with Solutions Architects to understand their workflows and challenges, and turn those needs into practical, scalable tools. You’ll have significant ownership and the opportunity to take projects from **problem → prototype → production**. This is not a traditional internal IT or support role. We’re looking for a strong developer who enjoys solving real-world technical problems, working closely with technical users, and building tools that have an immediate impact. ## What You’ll Do - Build internal tools and applications for the Solutions Architecture organization. - Automate repetitive technical and operational workflows. - Develop tools that improve solution design, customer preparation, demos, technical discovery, and documentation. - Work directly with Solutions Architects to understand their needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions. - Prototype quickly, validate with users, and turn successful prototypes into production-quality tools. - Integrate internal systems, APIs, data sources, and third-party platforms. - Partner with Engineering and Product teams when tools need to integrate with Eon’s core platform. - Own projects end-to-end, from defining the problem through development, deployment, and iteration. - Identify opportunities to improve the productivity and effectiveness of the Solutions organization through software and automation. ## What We’re Looking For - Strong software engineering background with experience building production-quality applications and tools. - Strong programming skills in Python and/or another modern programming language. - Experience building internal tools, automation, developer tools, or SaaS applications. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into simple, useful solutions. - Ability to work directly with technical users and understand their workflows. - A builder mentality — you enjoy taking an idea from a conversation to something people can actually use. - Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies quickly. ## Nice to Have - Experience working with or within a Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, FDE, or customer-facing engineering organization. - Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern SaaS architectures. - Experience building tools for technical or customer-facing teams. - Experience with enterprise software or complex technical environments. ## Why Eon You’ll have the opportunity to build the internal engineering capabilities that enable a rapidly growing Solutions organization.
