Sous Chef

Job description

Bradda View Care Home are looking for a Sous Chef to join the team, and be responsible for undertaking food preparation tasks, as directed by the Chef/Head Chef, preparing ingredients, cleaning vegetables, and preparing simple dishes. They will also be responsible for servicing food to the residents. The Sous Chef will also work with the Kitchen Assistants and be responsible for cleaning and tidying workstations and equipment. They may also sometimes be responsible for restocking the store room and cold room in accordance with the Chef's instructions, for bringing ingredients into the kitchen, and to ensure food is packed and stored in accordance with all applicable food hygiene and safety regulations. The Sous Chef will also be expected to cover for the Head Chef/Chef in times of absence.
