Sr. Accountant

Job description

**PRIMARY FUNCTION:** Responsible for a range of general accounting duties, consolidation and financial analysis/projects. **DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:** - Responsible for intercompany billings and reconciliations. - Analysis and/or reconciliation of general ledger accounts monthly. - Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial packages, assist with preparation of month-end closing journal entries. - Assist with the monthly consolidation process. - Provide schedules/reconciliations for public and internal auditors. - Responsible for bank reconciliations and recording daily banking activity. - Responsible for preparing and filing of various government reports. - Continuous evolution of work process to increase accuracy and reduce completion time. - Assist departmental managers with understanding and analysis of monthly spending - Work with department leaders in the preparation of the annual budget, including assisting corporate managers with budget and determining proper allocation of department when needed. - Coach and support remote location on proper use of the chart of accounts. - Responsible for maintaining work instruction and process in accordance with company’s document management policies. - Special analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed to support management. - Other duties as assigned. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** - BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business required. - 5+ years of general accounting experience, CPA preferred. - Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines. - Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, - Must be experienced with General Ledger systems and Cash Pooling Systems - Must be proficient in Excel, use of PC and PC Software. - Oracle and OneStream experience a plus. **EEO Statement:** **Kyocera-AVX is an Equal Opportunity Employer, M/F/D/V:** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
