Job description

Req Id: 430110 Connection is everything. It drives us to innovate, explore, and stay close to what matters to us most. At Bell, we’re building a more connected future through world-class networks, AI-powered solutions, and digital experiences that elevate how people live, work, and play every day. We believe in empowering people. That’s why we equip our teams with cutting-edge technology, AI tools, and a collaborative environment that supports creativity and growth. Want to be part of a diverse team where your work makes a real impact? If you’re inspired by innovation that advances how people connect and transforms what’s possible, you belong on #TeamBell. Summary We are looking for a Senior App Designer to join our team. The right person for this role works comfortably across complex UX problems and polished visual design without losing quality at either end. You bring a strong eye for visual design, hierarchy, typography, and interaction detail, and you are direct about trade-offs, comfortable working across teams, and bring a clear point of view to the work. This is a role with broad reach. You will work across multiple product streams and teams, contributing wherever the work requires. At the core of it, you will drive end-to-end design across full user journeys, from early concept through to delivery, working confidently within our established design system along the way. Key Responsibilities Drive end-to-end design across multiple product streams, covering entire user journeys from concept to delivery. Translate complex requirements into intuitive, well-structured flows that balance UX rigor with strong visual design rooted in purpose. Craft high-quality mobile app interfaces with a strong eye for visual hierarchy, typography, motion, and detail to drive emotionally engaging experiences. Design across mobile platforms, with deep expertise in Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and Google's Material Design to ensure platform-specific best practices are followed. Partner with engineering, system, and research teams to ensure design intent is carried through implementation. Work within our established design system, applying components, tokens, and patterns accurately and consistently, and raising gaps or inconsistencies with the design systems team when you find them. Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Program Managers to align on priorities and timelines. Advocate for the user by surfacing pain points, proposing solutions, and iterating based on feedback from both customers and internal agent-facing users. Contribute to design system work during periods when additional capacity is needed. Stay current on app design trends, tools, and interaction patterns, and bring relevant thinking back to the team. Ensure designs meet WCAG standards and that accessibility is considered at the start, not just applied after the fact. Critical Qualifications Craft-level expertise in creating high-quality interfaces with a strong eye for visual hierarchy, typography, motion, interaction quality, and detail. Experience designing complete user journeys, not just individual screens, with a strong grasp of flow, structure, and decision points across an omni-channel experience. An appreciation for limitations and view them as opportunities to innovate. An expert-level command of Figma, including auto-layout, variants, prototyping, and component creation. Experience working within a design system, with a solid understanding of components, tokens, and pattern-based design The ability to explain your design decisions clearly to both design and non-design partners. Experience working in cross-functional teams with product, engineering, and research. Comfort working on both broadly defined concepts and narrowly scoped features. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Experience with mobile-first and responsive design across multiple breakpoints. Experience designing for retail, call center, or other agent-facing applications is a strong asset. A collaborative and comfortable attitude, eager to find clever solutions to complex problems. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience contributing to design system discussions, beyond just consuming it. Familiarity with design tokens and how they are structured and applied across products. Exposure to A/B testing, analytics, or user research to inform and validate design decisions. Experience working within multi-brand or multi-platform product environments. Motion design skills and an understanding of how animation and transitions enhance user experiences. Familiarity with enterprise-scale product ecosystems. Experience with advanced prototyping tools such as Framer or Protopie. #LI-SS1 Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
