A stable, growing company in the waste management and recycling industry is hiring a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team in Vernon. This is an immediate-need replacement role, offering the chance to step into day-to-day accounting work with a clear path to long-term stability. We're looking for someone with a solid general accounting background, strong communication skills, and the ability to keep pace in a busy environment. ### What You'll Do - Support daily accounting operations and general ledger activity - Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close - Prepare and maintain financial records and reports - Research and resolve accounting discrepancies - Work cross-functionally to keep financial data accurate - Take on additional accounting projects and ad hoc reporting as needed ### What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - 3+ years of general accounting experience - Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel - Excellent written and verbal communication - Detail-oriented, organized, and a strong problem-solver - Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
