Staff Content Designer - Receive

Job description

How should global money work? How do you take a complex, stressful experience and make it simple, calming even? How do you challenge the way it’s always been done? How do you collaborate in a human-centred way to ship work you’re truly proud of? These are just a few of the challenges a Staff Content Designer will work on as part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system. Right now we move £6 billion every month for over 12 million people. But we're only 2% done — because people without borders deserve money without borders. What you’ll be doing: You’ll be working with the cross-functional teams that make up Receive — a squad that helps millions of people and businesses get paid. In this role you’ll enable customers to receive money from all over the world — quickly, easily and with absolute confidence. It might be a new business getting paid by their first customer, friends splitting the bill after a meal out, or larger companies regularly receiving millions of pounds, dollars, or yen. Every single payment is important — no matter what size or how it’s made. It’ll be your job to design and deliver experiences that make these transactions clear, engaging and effortless. You'll also be part of the Content Guild, and will regularly collaborate with the content community across Wise. Here’s how you’ll contribute: Get to know our customers, building empathy and a deep understanding of their needs Use your expertise to discover, design and deliver simple, beautifully crafted, intuitive experiences that customers love Apply your design thinking to AI and automation, validating where it can create real customer value Partner with engineering to design content systems, prompts, and agents, and define what good looks like in terms of QA and output Influence teams and stakeholders to increase customer-centeredness, creativity, and content quality across the squad Understand and prioritise content needs — delivering the most impactful projects across multiple teams Champion the Wise brand and its carefully considered implementation Work with designers from other squads to build a single, seamless experience for customers This role will give you the opportunity to: Deliver impact and ship work you’re proud of Own design projects from end-to-end Model how content design leads on building customer-facing AI experiences Elevate product and content quality — you define what good looks like in the squad, and demonstrate it with everything you ship Work at the crossroads of marketing communication and product design Be part of a positive change in the world. We’re fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money About you: You’re an accomplished Staff Content Designer with extensive experience shipping world-class consumer products You have an in-depth understanding of AI. You have strong perspectives on how it should be used, and how the underpinning systems should be designed You’re comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity — and can successfully collaborate in this environment You have an eye for quality. You know how to deliver it yourself, and how to support other designers to do the same You’re influential, inspiring, and able to work with others in a culture that values autonomy and empowerment You’re highly empathetic, both to customers and the people you work with You’re a trusted partner who builds effective relationships with your peers across the business Heads up, this probably isn’t for you if: Your experience is mostly in marketing content, advertising, copywriting, journalism or social media – and you have no hands-on experience of content design or working in UX We’re people without borders — without judgement or prejudice, too. We want to work with the best people, no matter their background. So if you’re passionate about learning new things and keen to join our mission, you’ll fit right in. And because we believe that diverse teams build better products, we’d especially love to hear from you if you’re from an under-represented demographic. For everyone, everywhere.
