**About Faire** Faire is a technology wholesale platform built on the belief that the future is local. Independent retailers around the globe collectively represent a multi-hundred-billion-dollar wholesale market that has historically been fragmented and offline. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so businesses can grow and local communities can thrive. We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours. ### About this role The Discovery pillar's core mission is to make it easy and delightful for retailers to find brands and products their customers will love. This role will own product development of our algorithms powering search, the largest discovery surface — with a specific focus on search ranking. We're looking for an experienced Search PM, ideally with ranking experience, who can turn product insight into a durable roadmap and make sharp prioritization calls between near-term wins and longer-term investments. You'll work closely with a world-class data science team, and you'll need enough technical fluency to engage credibly with their work even as they drive the technical execution. ### **What you'll do** - Develop and execute a strategy that takes our search experience to the next level via ranking algorithmic iterations. - Own a product roadmap for Search Ranking that is analytically grounded, clearly prioritized, and connected to business outcomes - Direct the analytical work of the pod — working alongside a dedicated strategy & analytics partner to identify novel opportunities, diagnose root causes of failure modes, interpret outputs, and translate findings into actionable insight - Determine the right sequencing of opportunities, including when to invest in technical/foundational work that unlocks future gains versus near-term order volume delivery - Define and refine the metrics that give the team a clear picture of Search Ranking performance and the retailer experience - Build trusted partnerships across ML Platform, Discovery Infrastructure, and adjacent Search teams, managing team bandwidth while delivering on shared goals - Represent the team's strategy and progress to leadership ### Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - 7+ years of product management experience, including direct ownership of search or ranking systems, ideally at a marketplace or e-commerce company - Strong prioritization instincts — a track record of identifying the highest-impact opportunities and sequencing them, balancing near-term wins against longer-term technical investment - Technical fluency — comfortable engaging with technical white papers and holding informed conversations with engineering and DS counterparts, even while relying on them to drive execution - Execution rigor across complex, multi-dependency work **Salary Range** San Francisco, CA, US: The pay range for this role is $220,000 - $302,500 USD per year. This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors, including transferable skills, work experience, market demand, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future. **Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday).* Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.* **Why you’ll love working at Faire** - **Move fast:** You'll own meaningful problems that serve customers around the globe with the agency to move fast and see your results clearly. - **Equipped to scale:** We invest in what matters, including the latest enterprise AI tools, to help you work smarter and get more out of every day. - **Best in class:** Our team is full of sharp, kind, and generous colleagues who care about their craft and about helping you grow in yours. - **Real rewards.** Competitive pay, equity, and comprehensive benefits designed to support your life inside and outside of work. - **Belonging:** We're intentional about building an environment where every Faire employee has equal access to opportunities, growth, and success.
