As a Strategy& Value Creation - Procurement - Senior Associate, you will engage in the dynamic world of deal strategy, focusing on procurement within our Deals practice. You will work closely with clients to develop and implement strategies that drive value creation and enhance procurement processes. This role offers the chance to collaborate with diverse teams, providing insights and solutions that align with client objectives. As a Senior Associate, you will leverage your problem-solving skills and critical thinking to navigate complex client engagements. You will build meaningful client relationships, anticipate needs, and guide junior team members. Roles & responsibilities on client roles may include: Lead end-to-end procurement transformation—design and implement strategy, target operating model, processes, governance, systems, and tools. Own category and sourcing delivery—develop and execute category strategies across direct and indirect spend; run competitive events, negotiations, supplier relationship and contract management to secure tangible benefits. Drive rapid value creation in turnaround contexts—shape and deliver cost-out, cash release, and working capital improvement workstreams; align cross functional stakeholders and track benefits to P&L and cash. Improve source-to-pay performance—diagnose issues, streamline P2P, strengthen controls, and embed data driven performance management and change adoption. Execute pre-and-post-deal M&A transactions – leading commercial procurement sourcing exercises on a carve-out or integration, and supporting with procurement function day 1 readiness, and post-deal establishment and value creation. Embed ESG in procurement—integrate sustainability criteria into strategies and supplier selection, manage Scope 3 considerations, and support decarbonisation across the supply base. Lead client engagement and teams—operate as a trusted advisor, craft executive ready materials, manage multidisciplinary delivery teams, coach junior colleagues, and contribute to proposition development and business development. Core opportunities within the role Create visible impact, deliver rapid turnaround and transformation programmes with quantified cost, cash, and risk reduction outcomes. Work across the full procurement value chain—from strategy and operating model to sourcing, contracting, SRM, and P2P performance. Leverage leading digital ecosystems—work with modern procurement tools and advanced analytics to accelerate insight and execution. Advance sustainability leadership—gain hands on experience integrating ESG into procurement and addressing Scope 3 decarbonisation challenges. Skills & experience we’re looking for Procurement transformation & delivery—experience spanning category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, SRM, and P2P improvement. Turnaround value creation—proven track record of cost-based transformation, cash and working capital improvement, and benefits tracking. Digital & analytics fluency—comfort with source-to-pay platforms and the business adoption of digital tools; strong analysis skills (Excel) and familiarity with analytics tooling (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) to derive insights from complex third party spend. ESG integration—understanding of how to embed sustainability into procurement, including Scope 3 measurement/management and supplier decarbonisation. Stakeholder leadership—excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders, produce executive materials, and coach junior team members. Programme/project management—capable of leading initiatives in ambiguous environments, with limited oversight.
