### Structural Steel Fitter / Welder-Fitter **Location:** York, PA **Job Type:** Full-Time | Direct Hire **Shift:** 1st Shift **Pay Rates:**Up to $25.00/hour, based on experience ### Position Summary We are seeking skilled steel fabrication professionals for first-shift positions in York, PA. Openings are available for Structural Steel Fitters and Welder-Fitters. Candidates should have experience working with structural steel, reading blueprints, and using fabrication equipment. ### What You'll Do - Review blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications before starting projects. - Measure, mark, position, and fit steel components to meet project requirements. - Complete fitting, fabrication, and welding work based on the assigned position. - Set up and operate a track torch. - Safely use and maintain welding machines, tools, and related equipment. - Check finished work for proper measurements, accuracy, and quality. - Coordinate with coworkers and supervisors to complete jobs on schedule. - Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all shop safety procedures. ### What We're Looking For - Previous structural steel fitting, welding, or fabrication experience. - **Structural Steel Fitters:** At least 3 years of structural steel fabrication experience. - **Welder-Fitters:** Previous experience with structural steel welding and fitting. - Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications. - Familiarity with welding processes, materials, and equipment. - Ability to set up and operate a track torch. - Welder-Fitter applicants must be able to pass all required Flux Core Welding tests. - AWS or other relevant welding certifications are preferred. - Strong measuring, layout, and attention-to-detail skills. - Good communication and teamwork abilities. - Commitment to quality and workplace safety. ### Pay and Benefits - Pay based on experience, up to the rate listed for the selected position. - Health, dental, and vision insurance. - Opportunities for career growth and professional development. - Supportive team environment.
