Substitute Teacher – TRICA Preschool of the Arts & Capture the Castle Afterschool Location: Boise, Idaho Organization: TRICA – Treasure Valley Institute for Children’s Arts Position Type: On-call / Part-time About TRICA TRICA provides meaningful experiences in the arts taught by outstanding and loving educators, inspiring the children of the Treasure Valley to develop attitudes and values contributing to a stronger sense of community, humanity, and good will. Position Overview We are seeking caring, reliable, and creative individuals to join our Substitute Teacher Pool . Substitutes provide classroom support when regular staff are unavailable, helping maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children ages 2½–9. This flexible position is ideal for those who love working with children and want to be part of a joyful, arts-centered community without a full-time commitment. Responsibilities Support classroom routines and arts-based activities under the direction of lead staff Supervise and engage with children during play, projects, and outdoor time Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom atmosphere Communicate effectively with staff and follow program guidelines Qualifications Experience working with 2 - 9 year olds Experience in an art form such as Art, Dance, Pottery, Painting, Music Degree in Early Childhood Education (not required) Currently in Teacher Training Program (not required) Dependable, patient, and adaptable Ability to follow established routines and collaborate with the teaching team Background check required prior to hire. Available morning of.
