Job Title: Supervisor, Operations Management Job Code: 42072 Job Location: Salt Lake City, Utah Job Schedule: 3rd shift (weekend day) Essential Functions: · Provides day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions. · Understands leadership approaches and has practical knowledge of Operations (Quality/Production Control/Manufacturing/Test/Engineering). · Provides input on hiring, termination, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions for direct report(s). Reports to Assoc. Manager or higher. · Communicate with parties inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures for the area of responsibility. · Adjusts procedures and processes. Plans and establish operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results. · Makes adjustments in procedures and processes to solve problems. · Identifies, defines, and addresses general problems that are typically within the immediate job area or team. · Assigns tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc. · May manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., costs associated with maintaining area supplies and overtime of staff). Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: · Understands supervisory approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, and process execution. · Typically requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline. · Applicable manufacturing or engineering experience preferred.
