Supplier Development Manager

**An excellent opportunity to advance and develop your career at Velocity!** We are looking for a driven Supplier Development Manager to create, develop, and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving improvement in supplier performance, capabilities, authenticity, and competitiveness in order to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify, develop, and expand the supplier base and relationships in China - Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, quality, authenticity, and responsiveness - Support Purchasing by optimizing sourcing opportunities within the independent electronic components’ distribution ecosystem **In addition, you will:** - Identify key supplier growth opportunities in the assigned market’s supply base and coordinate with Purchasing Management to execute initiatives that capitalize on them - Manage Supplier Development activities within the assigned region(s), including supplier qualification, performance management, and ongoing capability evaluation - Support Buyers by enabling access to reliable, competitive, and high‑performing suppliers, and assist in improving suppliers’ responsiveness and supply readiness - Build trusted partnerships with strategic suppliers to drive mutual growth, enhance sourcing reliability, and improve quality and authenticity outcomes - Partner with Purchasing Management and collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality and Operations to ensure supplier readiness, authenticity verification, and alignment with Velocity sourcing standards - Ensure supplier adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, documentation standards, and ethical sourcing expectations - Maintain applicable supplier data, reports, contacts, performance metrics, and communications within Velocity Information System (VIS) - Represent and communicate Velocity’s culture, values, and value proposition to the supplier community **Qualifications:** - 4-year college degree preferred - 5+ years of supplier development experience in the electronic components or independent distribution industry - Familiar with ERP - Knowledge of electronic component authenticity, testing, and traceability **What is the experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this role?** #### **Our ideal candidate is:** - Creative - Entrepreneurial ## **Why Join Us** At Velocity Electronics, our core values—**Be Amazing Today, Demonstrate Mutual Respect and Trust, Act Courageously, and Own Your Outcomes**—drive our success.
