To assist in receiving , prioritise and log emergency and non-emergency telephone calls and to determine the appropriate level of EMS assistance needed to be Dispatched. REQUIRED EDUCATION ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12 DESIRED EDUCATION: BAA/ Level 3 first aid Certification REQUIRED EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL MININUM EXPERIENCE: Contact Centre / Emergency Contact Centre exposure DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 – 3 years dispatching in an EMS contact centre KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Dispatch vehicles according to the CAD system Assist in receiving, prioritise, logging, and processing all calls and alerts received Provide basic contact centre administration REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Computer literate (Microsoft Office) Dispatching of vechicles Emergency Care Typing Skills English language (written and verbal) Geographical locations EMS environment Telephonic and email etiquette All applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa, as well as internal applicants/employees that meet the minimum requirements.
