Surgical Technician - Fremont Memorial Hospital - Ambulatory Pain Clinic

Location: Memorial Hospital Department: Pain Clinic Weekly Hours: 0 Status: Per Diem Shift: Variable (United States of America) Job Summary: As a Surgical Technician, you use your knowledge of anatomy, patient needs and departmental procedures to prepare for and manage surgical cases at ProMedica. You will ensure sterile field integrity by using aseptic techniques and addressing any breaks in sterile technique quickly. Teamwork is key in this role as you work with the circulating nurse to keep an accurate count of sponges, instruments, and sharps in accordance with department guidelines. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be a graduate of a Surgical Technology program. Certification: CPR required . PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Years of Experience: Prior experience in a surgical setting preferred Certification: Preferred Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) or certification from NCCT.
