Surgical Technician - Fremont Memorial Hospital - Surgery

Location: Memorial Hospital Department: Surgery Weekly Hours: 40 Status: Full time Shift: Days (United States of America) Sign On Bonus: Job Requisition Qualifies for Sign on Bonus Bonus Amount: $7,500 Job Summary: As a Surgical Technician, you use your knowledge of anatomy, patient needs and departmental procedures to prepare for and manage surgical cases at ProMedica. You will ensure sterile field integrity by using aseptic techniques and addressing any breaks in sterile technique quickly. Teamwork is key in this role as you work with the circulating nurse to keep an accurate count of sponges, instruments, and sharps in accordance with department guidelines. REQUIREMENT S Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be a graduate of a Surgical Technology program or a Licensed Practical Nurse educational program. License: Current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure from the state of employment if hiring into the LPN capacity . Certification: CPR req ui red . PREFERRED REQUIREMENT S Years of Experience: Prior experience in a surgical setting preferred. Certification: Preferred Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists ( AST) , certification from NCCT.
