What You Will Do: You will be supporting a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a Linux System Administrator in Aurora, CO or Richardson, TX Responsibilities include the monitoring and support of systems that are operational 24x7 and which occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. You will perform routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, accurately document issues in logging and discrepancy reporting tools. The role will support system engineering groups as needed for ongoing analysis and integration efforts, design/implement updates to satisfy requirements flowed down from engineering, and upgrade existing COTS products to targeted baselines. This position serves as a help desk team member in a customer-facing environment, so the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with other teams and with the customer is of utmost importance, as you will be expected to uphold our excellent reputation. 100% onsite in Aurora, CO or Richardson, TX Qualifications You Must Have : Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years or prior relevant experience Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance (on start date) Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND Experience with Linux RedHat and Windows Experience with virtual/cloud computing technologies such as: Citrix, VMware, and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) Qualifications We Prefer: The ability to work effectively with frequent and direct customer interaction in a real-time operational environment The ability to work under pressure in restoring high priority systems back to operations Working Cloudera experience Ability to navigate, debug, and modify programs in an advanced programming language Experience with storage products from Oracle, Dell/EMC (e.g., Isilon/PowerScale), and/or NetApp Experience presenting technical information to customers, clients, and/or internal audiences Working knowledge of thin-client technologies Relocation Eligibility What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
