The Space Flight Operations and Astronaut Training Department is the central institution for German space activities – from satellite missions for Earth observation, communication and space security, through to manned spaceflight, high-altitude research and exploration. We also work on innovative technologies to ensure we can master even the most challenging space projects of the future What to expect You will assume the central role of System Engeneer for the Voice Communications System within the ground segment. In close collaboration with the "Ground Operations" group, whose operational and system technical responsibility encompasses the ground segment for satellite and astronautical spaceflight projects, the focus of the position is on the developing concepts for seamless operatios, conducting routine operations, and supporting critical phases for the voice communication system. You will be integrated into a diverse project portofolio, which covers missions from CubeSats and LEO satellites to GEO and deep space missions, as well as astronautical spaceflight and support for the LUNA analog facility.
