Performs external repair of the power pack assembly. Performs pre-shop analysis of turbine engines for combat vehicles, diagnoses defects and determines the extent of repairs required, and if engine must be completely disassembled, repaired and rebuilt. Performs the repairs and modifications if possible to eliminate the disassembly. Performs general mechanical work in connection with the repair, rebuild, overhaul and modification of a variety of combat tactical vehicles and/or combat vehicle components and/or secondary items, i.e., various fuel and electrical assemblies/subassemblies for combat and tactical vehicles. Diagnoses defects, determines work methods and trade techniques to be used in accomplishing the rebuild and/or repair and adjustment of one major system (reciprocating/turbine engines, electrical and fuel systems, transmissions/cross drives/cross T's) of combat vehicles. Determines serviceability of assemblies and subassemblies and if economically repairable or should be replaced.
