As a Senior Associate in our Mergers and Acquisitions Tax team, you will engage with clients to provide strategic tax advice and solutions during complex transactions. Within our Tax practice, you will leverage your skills to analyze intricate tax issues, helping clients navigate the complexities of mergers and acquisitions. This role offers the chance to work closely with clients, building meaningful relationships and delivering tailored tax strategies. As a Senior Associate, you will develop your personal brand and technical skills by managing workstreams and mentoring junior team members. You will be exposed to diverse client scenarios, enhancing your ability to anticipate needs and deliver quality solutions. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will be part of a dynamic team, using your problem-solving abilities to address complex tax challenges and contribute to the firm's success. Responsibilities - Analyzing complex tax structures and providing insights on mergers and acquisitions - Developing tax models to support corporate transactions and restructuring efforts - Collaborating with clients to integrate tax and finance strategies post-deal - Utilizing analytical thinking to assess and optimize tax provisions and structures - Supporting the preparation of consolidated tax returns and related documentation - Engaging in domestic restructuring to align with business objectives and tax regulations - Reviewing purchase and sale agreements to identify tax implications and opportunities - Applying intellectual curiosity to explore innovative tax solutions and strategies - Embracing change and adapting to evolving tax laws and client needs - Mentoring junior team members in tax modeling and integration processes - Building relationships with clients to understand their unique tax challenges and goals What You Must Have - At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Master's in Commerce - At least 2 years of experience - Oral and written proficiency in English required What Sets You Apart - Demonstrating analytical thinking in corporate transactions - Utilizing tax modeling for mergers and acquisitions - Embracing change in post-deal integration processes - Applying intellectual curiosity to tax restructuring challenges - Excelling in communication during purchase and sale agreements - Navigating complexity in consolidated tax returns - Developing tax and finance integration strategies -Respond effectively to the diverse perspectives, needs, and feelings of others. -Use a broad range of tools, methodologies and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems. -Use critical thinking to break down complex concepts. -Understand the broader objectives of your project or role and how your work fits into the overall strategy. -Develop a deeper understanding of the business context and how it is changing. -Use reflection to develop self awareness, enhance strengths and address development areas. -Interpret data to inform insights and recommendations. -Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards (e.g. refer to specific PwC tax and audit guidance), the Firm's code of conduct, and independence requirements. -Key responsibilities are assigned based on an evaluation of the candidate’s professional qualification, relevant experience, Excel and PowerPoint skills, and a demonstrated working knowledge of basic financial analysis that impacts the business and economic environment. These could include: -Preparation of excel models. -Drafting and review of Tax Structuring Reports. -Drafting and review of Tax Due Diligence Reports (along with supporting MS-Excel data packs) and other financial Due Diligence reports. -Creation of Funds Flow models. -Preparation of cost estimates and budgets. -Understand the process of workflow related to work requests from initiation through completion, understand how workflow is managed within the firm's workflow management tool, understand optimal and required ways to document results of work performed. -Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics by working as a team member: understand personal and team roles; contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback. -Communicate with the stakeholders on a regular basis. -Understanding financial accounting concepts, tax laws, and regulations related to mergers and acquisitions. -Working knowledge of Analytical tools like Power Suites, Alteryx, Advance Excel. -Manages several responsibilities in the face of competing priorities. Sets priorities for tasks based on relative importance and urgency. -Take responsibility for and ensure that assigned tasks are fulfilled in a timely way to a high standard. -Has Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat -Is a team player, committed to providing high quality and maintaining timelines. -Has effective written and verbal communication skills in English. -Demonstrates self-motivation and a desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development. -Is committed to continuous training and to proactively learn new processes.
