Technical Consultant – Scale Specialist Lead (Intune/Windows – Tenant‑to‑Tenant)

Job description

Who We Are At Kyndryl, we run and reimagine the mission-critical technology systems that drive advantage for the world’s leading businesses. We are at the heart of progress; with proven expertise and a continuous flow of AI-powered insight, enabling smarter decisions, faster innovation, and a lasting competitive edge. For our people—Kyndryls—that means doing purposeful work that powers human progress. Join us and experience a flexible, supportive environment where your well-being is prioritized and your potential can thrive. The Role The Role: You are the offshore specialist leader for tenant‑to‑tenant endpoint migration readiness and escalation support. You guide Scale squads and the Factory through device migration sequencing, Intune re‑enrolment impacts, Autopilot/join‑state considerations and remediation patterns. This role is critical to avoiding mass disruption: endpoint readiness issues can block user productivity at wave cutovers, so your job is to standardise solutions, reduce repeat failures and provide rapid escalation leadership during cutover windows. Who You Are Key Responsibilities: - Provide endpoint readiness guidance and risk assessments for migration waves. - Act as escalation authority for complex device migration failures and root cause analysis. - Define and maintain runbooks for common remediation scenarios (enrolment failures, compliance issues, profile/application targeting problems). - Coordinate dependencies with Identity and Security teams (device trust and access controls). - Support cutover events with rapid triage and stabilisation leadership. - Maintain known‑issues and fixes catalogue; reduce recurring defects through standard patterns. - Provide validation criteria and evidence standards for endpoint readiness and post‑migration acceptance. - Support the Factory discipline leads by improving troubleshooting playbooks and telemetry standards. - Provide reporting inputs on failure categories, remediation throughput and readiness health metrics. - Align to one region and adjust working patterns to support regional cutovers. Must‑Have: - Delivered tenant‑to‑tenant endpoint migration work in production (Intune/Windows specialism mandatory). - Deep Intune operational expertise and troubleshooting competence. - Practical understanding of device join state and provisioning concepts relevant to tenant transitions. - Proven ability to create runbooks, validation steps and known‑fix playbooks for repeatable execution. - Willingness to align working hours to regional cutovers (early/late calls) and support extended hours when required. - Strong documentation discipline and evidence‑first practices. - Ability to coach engineers and improve delivery maturity at pace. Good‑to‑Have: - Experience with workstation/profile migration tooling (e.g., PowerSyncPro or equivalent) and hands‑on understanding of real‑world constraints. - Microsoft certification alignment relevant to endpoint management (or equivalent experience). - PowerShell scripting for diagnostics, readiness reporting and bulk remediation. - Experience with large, globally distributed device estates and remote workforce constraints. Interpersonal & Consulting Skills: - Calm escalation leadership in user‑impacting cutover events. - Clear communicator: logs, evidence and precise guidance rather than guesswork. - Strong coaching and collaboration behaviours across shifts and teams. - Risk and dependency management mindset; prevents avoidable disruption. - High integrity around access/security and change discipline. - Strong written communication: tickets, handovers, playbooks. Typical Deliverables / KPIs: - Lower endpoint migration failure rate and improved first‑time success. - MTTR for endpoint migration blockers during cutovers. - Repeat issue reduction via improved runbooks and known‑fix catalogues. - Evidence completion rate for endpoint acceptance checks. - Readiness pass rate for endpoint components at wave entry. Shift / Working Pattern Notes: Scale teams operate as a cohesive unit within a follow‑the‑sun project delivery model. Each scale team works an 8‑hour shift, scheduled across a 24‑hour global working day. Structured handovers between scale teams are mandatory and cutover periods may require rota flexibility.
