JOB DESCRIPTION Technical Lead The Big Picture Sysco LABS is the Global In-House Center of Sysco Corporation (NYSE: SYY), the world’s largest foodservice company. Sysco LABS’ enterprise technology is present in the end-to-end foodservice journey, enabling the sourcing of food products, merchandising, storage and warehouse operations, order placement and pricing algorithms, the delivery of food and supplies to Sysco’s global network and the in-restaurant dining experience of the end-customer. Responsibilities: D esign ing and develop ing ent erprise solutions for one of the world’s largest corporations Implement ing distributed and highly available enterprise applications that scale for enterprise demands Adher ing to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery of solutions Ensur ing high code quality by following software engineering best practices Work ing collaboratively in a cross - functional team in an Agile delivery environment Adher ing to DevOps principles and be ing involved in projects throughout their full software lifecycle: from development, QA, and deployment, to post-production support Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 6 + years of experience developing production grade enterprise applications Extensive e xperience with the Java/Spring -Boot stack, along with hands-on knowledge on RESTful APIs, microservices , performance optimizations, enterprise integration principles and modern deployment strategies (containerization principles) An i n-depth understanding of relational databases, schema design and SQL optimization ; Knowledge on NoSQL databases would be an added advantage Strong understanding of data streaming concepts and related toolsets (Kafka), along with practical expertise in asynchronous processing, error handling, and root-cause analysis Hands-on experience working with c loud platforms ( AWS preferred), along with knowledge on serverless application development patterns Familiarity with Linux based systems, DevOps practices K nowledge on front-end development (React/Redux stack) would be beneficial Excellent communication skills The ability to work well with a team and lead/groom junior members as required Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment Familiarity with Quality Engineering process es and practices Benefits: US dollar-linked compensation Performance-based annual bonus Performance rewards and recognition Agile Benefits - special allowances for Health, Wellness & Academic purposes Paid birthday leave Team engagement allowance Comprehensive Health & Life Insurance Cover - extendable to parents and in-laws Overseas travel opportunities and exposure to client environments Hybrid work arrangement Sysco LABS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
