Job description
**Job Description** - Taking responsibility for and reviewing complex projects in the field of nuclear power stations (NPPs) received from the sales department, regarding technical consistency, nuclear-specific requirements, feasibility and practicality - Developing the overall technical solution for nuclear applications, including defining the system architecture in accordance with applicable standards and safety requirements - Overall responsibility for the technical specification (Spec) and its compliant implementation within the framework of nuclear power plant projects - Act as the central technical liaison between Project Management, Application Engineering, R&D and the customer for all project-specific technical issues in the nuclear sector - Assess costs, risks and technical solutions, considering nuclear safety and quality requirements - Carrying out independent technical calculations (e.g. temperature rise, losses, selectivity) - Sizing of components and assemblies based on applicable standards and project requirements - Defining and initialising the technical documentation structure for projects - Preparation and allocation of technical work packages for Engineering, R&D, Service and Production - Supporting the design team with technical implementation and coordinating technical execution across all departments - Development of a qualification strategy for nuclear projects, including a test programme and analogy assessment, taking regulatory requirements into account - Organisation and management of additional nuclear-related tests (unit, type and special tests) - Responsibility for the preparation, execution and follow-up of FATs in the context of nuclear power plant projects - Ensuring compliance with all specifications and nuclear quality requirements in collaboration with QM prior to delivery - Preparation of CNR/8D reports in the event of technical non-conformities, considering nuclear documentation requirements - Ensuring compliance with the requirements of ISO 19443 for the nuclear supply chain, including traceability, documented quality and risk-based approaches **Requirements and Qualifications** - A completed bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, energy engineering, physics or a comparable subject - Further training or specialisation in nuclear engineering, or a comparable subject - Several years’ experience in managing complex technical projects, ideally in the following areas: nuclear power stations (NPPs), UPS systems, safety-critical industries - Proficiency in applying relevant standards and technical regulations - Experience in the technical specification, design and calculation of components/systems - Knowledge of compiling technical documentation and work packages - An analytical, structured and quality-oriented approach to work - Strong communication skills and a confident manner when dealing with clients and internal stakeholders - A high level of responsibility and decision-making ability - Very good written and spoken English - Good knowledge of technical French for handling specifications, documentation and correspondence **What we offer** - An exciting role in a profitable growth sector - Comprehensive onboarding and training - Vacation benefits: 30 vacation days per calendar year plus additional vacation pay - Christmas bonus: An extra festive payment to make the holiday season even more enjoyable - Performance bonus: Recognition and support for strong performance - Additional leave for family care responsibilities - Work-life balance: A 35-hour work week contract - Special payments: Two additional bonus payments per year - Corporate benefits: Access to attractive employee discounts and offers - Bike leasing: Stay healthy commuting to and from work with your leased bicycle - Large on-site canteen with a wide variety of options - Complimentary fresh fruit and water available at all times
