Technical Project Manager, Systems Engineering, Global

Job description

About Nscale Nscale is the vertically integrated AI cloud engineered for AI. We own and operate the full stack — energy, data centres, GPU superclusters, orchestration, and AI services — delivering high-performance infrastructure to AI-native companies, enterprises, and governments across Europe and the US. We are deploying GPU capacity at hyperscale, operating some of the densest, most advanced AI infrastructure in the world. At Nscale, our Global Data Centre Systems Engineering team designs, standardises, and scales the systems that keep our data centres running at peak performance. We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you'll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future. About the Role Nscale is hiring a Technical Program Manager to drive strategic, cross-functional initiatives within Global Data Centre Systems Engineering. This role combines program management, process engineering, and business analysis to turn operational needs into clear, measurable delivery plans and scalable solutions. You will connect data centre infrastructure teams with partner functions across Nscale, leading discovery, defining requirements, coordinating delivery, and communicating progress and business value for initiatives with senior leadership visibility. Experience required: 5+ years in technical program management, project management, PMO operations, business analysis, or program coordination within infrastructure, industrial, hardware-intensive, or similarly complex environments. What You'll be Doing - Lead strategic initiatives. Own cross-functional work across analytics, metrics, data integrations, operational tooling, and systems engineering initiatives. - Own delivery discipline. Plan and govern scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, resourcing, stakeholder communications, and measurable outcomes. - Lead discovery and assessment. Run cross-functional sessions to understand business needs, operational pain points, process gaps, and technical requirements; assess current-state workflows and recommend practical future-state options. - Translate needs into execution. Define clear business and system requirements, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and delivery plans. - Engineer scalable processes. Create and maintain process maps, workflow diagrams, swim lanes, systems diagrams, and other visual documentation; facilitate walkthroughs to confirm alignment. - Standardise where it matters. Promote harmonised standards, validation practices, and documentation while accounting for site-specific operational requirements. - Coordinate the full lifecycle. Guide initiatives from discovery and requirements through implementation, adoption, and operational handoff. - Communicate progress and value. Develop technical and executive-ready reporting that makes progress, risks, decisions, outcomes, and business value clear. - Maintain operational rigour. Apply relevant software development lifecycle methodologies. About You - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, PMO operations, business analysis, or program coordination within infrastructure, industrial, hardware-intensive, or similarly complex environments. - Experience delivering projects using waterfall, hybrid, and agile methodologies. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through implementation and operational adoption. - Strong expertise in requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, business and systems documentation, process mapping, and gap analysis. - Hands-on experience with project and work management tools such as Planview, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or equivalent platforms, and diagramming tools such as Lucidchart, Figma, Visio, or mind-mapping software, with the ability to quickly learn Nscale's tools. - Strong organisational skills and sound judgement when managing multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. - Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. - Comfort working with KPI and SLA data to identify trends, surface insights, and support decision-making. - Ability to build consensus and maintain effective working relationships across organisational boundaries. - Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, as needed. Nice to Have - An advanced degree in a relevant field. - Professional certification such as PMP, SAFe, or a comparable program, project, or agile credential. - Experience with Lean or Six Sigma. - Experience supporting executive communications and decision-making forums. - Experience in data centre infrastructure, operational technology, or large-scale infrastructure delivery environments. Why this role matters Your success will be measured by the impact you have across our global data centre footprint, including: - Documented, understood, and adopted workflows for priority systems engineering processes and systems. - Improved program delivery discipline, including project management compliance and timely risk and dependency escalation. - Cohesive views and presentations that support better operational and leadership decisions. - Reduced redundant tooling and broader availability of governed, quality-scored data for critical assets. - Clear translation of technical delivery progress into measurable business impact for leadership. What We Can Offer You At Nscale, you'll find a collaborative, supportive, and innovative environment where your contributions spark real impact. We're building something extraordinary, and we want you at the core. - Highly competitive package, including base salary and equity, with reviews every 12 months. - Join one of the fastest-growing tech startups: your chance to push boundaries, collaborate with brilliant minds, and make your mark on cutting-edge AI. - Expect a dynamic progression plan tailored to your ambitions.
