We can’t wait to meet you! As an Advanced Technologist Assistant, you will be onsite and able to perform a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions. The Advanced Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting radiology technologists in providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting. ### Essential Functions - Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services. - Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the patient registration. - Greets visitors/patients. - Check-in process; Check-out process; Insurance verification process; Informs patients of costs for care being provided. - Guides them to appropriate resources for further information. - Answers telephones; Relays messages - Sets up the imaging room to coincide with the examination being performed to include the use of proper isolations precautions when needed. - Provide quality customer service, explains all studies to patient in a clear manner. - Positions the patient, ensuring patient comfort and modesty. - Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures. - Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. - Prepares patients for exams by assisting with dressing and undressing, positioning patients for exams and escorting patients to and from the exam rooms. - Must be able to interact compassionately and effectively with people who range from healthy to critically ill. - Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures. - May be required to start IVs - Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. ### Other Duties - Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
