Trexquant is a growing systematic fund manager with a core team of highly accomplished technologists. We are hiring an early-career technology transactions attorney to focus on the agreements that power our research, trading, and operational infrastructure. The agreements concern data licensing, technology procurement, and related commercial matters.You will work directly with alpha researchers, data scientists, and software engineers, and partner closely with our team of senior counsel on broader legal functions concerning intellectual property, artificial intelligence, privacy and data protection, securities regulation, and other matters.Responsibilities:Draft, review, and negotiate data licensing agreements across market and alternative data, with particular attention to commercial terms, usage rights, derived data, user obligations, audit, and exit options.Lead technology procurement contracting: SaaS, cloud and data center agreements, software licenses, and professional services.Help build and maintain templates, playbooks, intake processes, and contract tracking; bring discipline and institutional memory to a high-volume docket.Manage the NDA program and the intellectual property terms within commercial agreements, including but not limited to derived data, open source, and AI use complianceWork alongside our senior counsel on ad hoc corporate matters as capacity allows.
