Job description
## **Position Summary** OpenLoop is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners to provide high-quality, patient-centered care through a fully virtual, 1099 contract opportunity focused on sleep medicine. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving patients’ health and quality of life by helping identify, evaluate, and manage sleep disorders, including sleep apnea. Previous sleep medicine experience is valued but not required—we also welcome providers who are interested in expanding their clinical expertise in this growing area of care. Care is delivered exclusively through telemedicine modalities, including video visits, phone consultations, connected devices, and asynchronous messaging. ## Key Responsibilities - Conduct virtual consultations through video, phone, and asynchronous messaging - Obtain and review patient histories, evaluate symptoms, and perform appropriate virtual assessments - Diagnose common sleep-related conditions and develop evidence-based treatment plans - Clearly communicate care recommendations and provide patient education - Review patient data from connected devices and other available clinical information - Maintain timely, thorough, and accurate clinical documentation - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals through charting and secure messaging - Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while meeting established quality and productivity expectations ## Qualifications - Active, unrestricted APRN license - Active licensure in at least 10 states, which **MUST** include **Minnesota** - Licensure in several of the following states is strongly preferred: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia - Current national certification in family practice through the ANCC, AANP, or another nationally recognized certifying organization - At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, or emergency medicine - At least 1 year of telemedicine or virtual care experience - Sleep medicine experience is preferred but not required - Genuine interest in sleep health and the treatment of sleep disorders - Strong virtual communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills ## Schedule and Engagement - Part-time, independent contractor position - Minimum availability of 5–10 hours per week - 100% remote ## Why Join OpenLoop? - Provide care remotely from anywhere in the United States - Expand your clinical reach through a nationwide telemedicine network - Build or deepen your experience in sleep medicine - Make meaningful connections with patients through accessible, technology-enabled care
