Therapist Job description Position Summary: Clinical assessments and provide therapy for children, adolescents affected by abuse/neglect, individuals, and family members with mental, emotional and addiction issues. Activities will include the provision of individual, family therapy, crisis intervention, in-targeted case management, client advocacy, court appearances, home visits, conducting clinical assessments, prevention, and education. Essential Functions: ·1. Demonstrates understanding of the Department of Human Services guidelines for providers 2. Intensive in-home therapy to maintain and stabilize a child’s permanency. 3. Demonstrates understanding of the overall nature, course, and treatment of mental illness. 4. Demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring illness process. 5. Provide substance abuse treatment and education. 6. Assists in formulating a service plan 7. Conducts problem solving in individual sessions to assist clients in addressing challenges (i.e., domestic violence, trauma, anger /stress management, enhanced behavior management for children/youth, grief counseling, separation issues, enhance methods of appropriate disciplinary techniques). 8. Utilize Electronic Medical Record for clinical documentation of each visit/contact and utilize evidence-based practice modalities and clinical tools/curriculum 9. Serves as an advocate to acquire supportive services for clients. 10. Able to document in BIRP format ·Other duties as assigned Position Requirements: ·LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT - Associate Licensed Professional in the state of Georgia or Master Degree in Human Services - licensed eligible Job Type: Part-time/Contractual Pay: $35.00 per hour Schedule: • Choose your own hours • Weekends as needed • Must have reliable transportation Work Location: Community Based
