Job description
What you will do on your journey with WebBeds. As a Transaction Quality Specialist, you will play a key role in protecting WebBeds’ commercial performance by identifying, investigating, and resolving transaction discrepancies before they develop into disputes, losses, or operational issues. You will work across multiple systems and partner closely with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of transactional data. This role combines analytical problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and process improvement. You will use data, operational insights, and quality controls to minimise financial exposure, improve transaction accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvements across the transaction quality function. In this role you will: Key responsibilities Transaction monitoring: Monitor and manage transaction quality alerts across reconciliation and operational systems, ensuring alerts are prioritised and resolved within agreed timelines. Discrepancy investigation: Investigate transaction discrepancies, including booking, supplier, client, rate, cancellation, refund, commission, margin, and data-related issues to identify root causes and corrective actions. Issue resolution: Resolve discrepancies proactively to prevent disputes, chargebacks, financial losses, supplier claims, and client complaints. Risk identification and escalation: Identify material risks, recurring issues, and unresolved discrepancies, escalating concerns to the appropriate stakeholders when required. Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to validate issues, gather evidence, agree corrective actions, and prevent repeat occurrences. Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Customer Service, Product, Technology, Connectivity, and Risk teams to resolve transaction quality issues effectively. Case management and documentation: Maintain accurate records, evidence, case notes, and financial impact assessments to support reporting, recoveries, and dispute resolution activities. Data quality improvement: Identify recurring data, system, supplier, and process issues and support the implementation of sustainable preventative measures. Governance and process compliance: Support the maintenance of operating procedures, escalation frameworks, transaction quality controls, and audit requirements. Performance analysis and reporting: Contribute to reporting and analysis of transaction quality metrics, alert volumes, financial impact, risk trends, and performance indicators. Process optimisation: Recommend and support improvements to processes, reporting, controls, automation, and system capabilities to enhance efficiency and reduce recurring issues. Commercial protection: Support supplier and client discussions using operational insights and trend analysis to minimise financial exposure and improve transaction outcomes. The skills we would love to see in your suitcase! Experience in transaction quality, reconciliations, finance operations, payments, disputes, chargebacks, supplier support, client support, or a related operational control environment. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Strong understanding of discrepancy investigation, exception management, root-cause analysis, evidence gathering, and dispute prevention processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, reporting tools, and Microsoft 365 applications. Experience working with operational systems, workflow tools, dashboards, and transaction management platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, assess financial impact, and recommend practical solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams, suppliers, and clients. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to follow established procedures, exercise sound judgement, and escalate issues appropriately. Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on preventing operational and financial risks. Fluent English required. Experience supporting process improvement, automation initiatives, and operational risk management is advantageous.
