Transport Services Associate - Part Time - Wexford Hospital

Company : Allegheny Health Network Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW: This job transports patients, medical records, mail, specimens and equipment/materials throughout the facility. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Transports inpatients and outpatients within the facility from initial start location to the destination location. (70%) Delivers equipment/materials and specimens to requesting department. Includes use of the pneumatic tube system. (20%) Serves as a Hospital ambassador and provides information and direction to patients and visitors. (5%) Ensures that transportation equipment is kept clean and in good working order. (5%) Performs other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to maintain the highest measure confidentiality. Good oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational skills needed to maintain working relationships, with both internal and external departments and customers at all levels. Preferred Proficiency in dealing with customer service. CPR certification.
