UK & Ireland Country Head

Job description

**About Safari AI** Safari AI's vision is to Automate Action of the leading companies in the physical economy, from Entertainment, Live Venues, QSR's, Retail and beyond. The company uses computer vision AI to Measure, Alert and provide AI-generated Recommendations at the operations of leading enterprises such as Merlin/Legoland, 7-11, Tanger Outlets, Charlotte Hornets, Tennessee Titans, and more. **Leadership & Culture** Safari AI is founded by Ali Vahabzadeh, who has a meaningful exit under his belt and has managed large, high-performing Go To Market and Engineering teams. The company is headquartered in Miami with the Engineering team co-located in Vancouver. **About You And How You Succeed At Safari AI** You're excited to build a product and invent a market that hasn't existed before. You read documentation first and are not afraid to ask for help when uncertain. You're looking to take ownership/run a singular project and take advantage of the freedom and culture an early stage startup can provide. You are looking to see through the fluff of the modern AI landscape and explore new ways of achieving measurable ROI. Enjoy a small team size ~10, project team of 1-3. **About the Role** Safari AI already works with UK-headquartered enterprises such as Merlin Entertainments, and demand from operators across the UK and Ireland in attractions, live venues, retail and hospitality is growing. Safari AI now needs a Country Head to run the UK & Ireland business as its general manager responsible for sales, client success, and activations. You will be the first Safari AI leader on the ground in the region and will own its growth end to end: winning new enterprise clients, making existing clients successful, building partnerships, and hiring the local team. This role is based in London, reports to and works directly with the Miami-based CEO, and works closely with the Go To Market and Engineering teams in Miami and Vancouver. We welcome country managers, general managers, senior enterprise sales and client success leaders, and top-tier management and transformation consultants to apply. **What You Will Own** - Regional P&L and growth: set the UK & Ireland go-to-market plan, revenue targets and budget with the CEO, and report on results - New business: build and close a pipeline of enterprise clients across attractions, live venues, sports, retail, QSR and hospitality - Client success: be the senior point of contact for UK & Ireland clients, lead QBR's, prove ROI and grow accounts - Partnerships: build relationships with camera, systems integrator, technology and channel partners in the region - Team building: hire, lead and develop the local team (sales, client success and deployment) as the region grows - Operations: coordinate deployments with Engineering, and work with Finance and legal advisors on local contracting, data protection (UK GDPR / EU GDPR) and procurement requirements - Market presence: represent Safari AI at industry events and conferences, and bring local market insight back into product and company strategy **Requirements for the Role** - Mandatory #1: Track record of owning commercial results in the UK & Ireland as a country manager, general manager, or senior enterprise sales, account, client or client success leader - Mandatory #2: You can point to specific value created and show how you calculated ROI for clients - Established network among enterprise operators in the UK & Ireland (attractions, venues, sports, retail, hospitality or similar) - AI-first: We expect you to be currently using as many relevant AI tools as available to leverage your time and 'multiply yourself' - Fast technical learner: eager to learn about new technologies and how they can be applied to legacy industries - Experience crafting, soliciting and communicating ROI, Payback Periods, and other financial performance metrics - Proven ability and willingness to serve clients in a variety of industries, not just one vertical - Comfortable being the first employee in a new region and working across time zones with a US-based leadership team - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland, and occasionally to the US to meet with the Exec team and Board of Directors - Experience building and managing a team strongly preferred **What Safari AI offers** - An opportunity to scale up Safari AI's UK & Ireland business and revolutionize how businesses uses Vision AI throughout their operations - Professional growth at a fast-growing, venture-funded startup with proven exec team - Competitive salary and meaningful equity for founding team leaders - Unlimited vacation days - Competitive benefits package **Why bet on Computer Vision and Safari AI?** 1. Huge opportunity hiding in plain sight: leveraging already-installed cameras to automate and real-time action on operational data 2. Already the market leader in enterprise CV by working with industry leaders with billions in revenue 3. Large chasm between customer knowledge and market availability, i.e. customers don't know what is available in the market...yet. 4. Early leader in computer vision; everyone is small and unbranded (i.e. no Amazon or Google in the room to compete with) 5. Very modular, allowing Safari AI and its customers to invent whole new use cases on a regular basis 6. Developed the tech and data pipelines over three years and invested several million dollars and is now ready to scale
