Lead the Veterinary Success team in building and refining onboarding and training programs that set new vets up to succeed on the platform. Drive engagement across the marketplace, so vets feel supported, informed, and connected to Vetster's mission. Clinical Standards Set and maintain the clinical standards that govern care on the Vetster platform. Review clinical workflows and policies, and update them as regulation, technology, and best practice change. Partner with Product and Engineering so platform tools support strong clinical judgment. RVT Team Leadership Oversee Vetster's team of RVTs, who support marketplace vets with escalations, continuity of care, and case review. Set priorities, coach performance, and build the team's capacity as the marketplace grows. Keep the RVT team and marketplace vets working well together, with clear escalation paths and shared standards. Continuity of Clinical Practice Maintain licensure and stay close to the platform by seeing a limited caseload of appointments. Serve as an Assigned Continuing Veterinarian when needed, in line with VCPR requirements. Track state veterinary telemedicine law, VCPR requirements, and related regulatory change, and advise Vetster's teams on the impact. What You Bring 7+ years of companion animal clinical experience with a DVM or VMD degree. Experience as lead DVM for a clinic or hospital, or as a regional leader for a veterinary group. Active veterinary licensure in good standing within the United States, and willingness to obtain additional state licenses. A track record of building or scaling clinical teams and standards. Comfort representing an organization publicly, through media, speaking, or industry engagement. Strong judgment on when virtual care is appropriate, and clear written and verbal communication. Experience with, or strong interest in, veterinary telemedicine. Licensure & Professional Expenses Vetster will cover veterinary licenses and license renewals required for the role. The Contractor is responsible for: Continuing education expenses. Maintaining personal professional liability insurance. Any professional association memberships and associated dues. Other individual professional expenses unless otherwise agreed upon. Remote Work & Travel The Medical Director is responsible for providing and maintaining the equipment, internet access, audiovisual technology, and private workspace needed to perform the role.
