Job description
· Development of detailed design and coordination of dry utility systems such as Duct Banks for electrical, telecommunication and gas networks in accordance with standards. · Develop designs including alignments, profiles, sections and trench design in coordination, and design considerations for dry utilities, including hydro, gas, and telecommunications, within transportation and urban corridors. · Apply subsurface utility engineering principles to evaluate utility data quality and support informed design decisions. · Prepare engineering drawings, design reports, technical memos, quantity takeoffs and cost estimates. · Contribute to quality assurance/quality control processes and Ownership of QA/QC process of design deliverables. · Develop 3D design models for conflict analysis and resolution in Civil3D or similar design software. · Support preparation of technical specifications and contract documents. · Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. · 5+ years of experience in municipal and/or transportation infrastructure projects. · Proven ability to design dry utility systems including electrical design components. · Experience with underground infrastructure design (water, sanitary, storm, drainage). · Strong communication skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams. · Strong Working knowledge of CAD platforms (Civil 3D & AutoCAD) is a requirement particularly for review and coordination. · Working knowledge of BIM process, development of design and review process over Autodesk construction cloud ( ACC) is preferred. · Previous experience working with municipalities, utility companies, developers, and consulting engineering firms is considered an asset. · High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work · Ability to manage small tasks or sub-projects with minimal supervision LANGUAGES English mandatory French ia a plus Egis is an international company headquartered in Guyancourt, Ile-de-France, France, with operations in over 100 countries and a workforce of approximately 19,500 employees.
